Not Your Average Bouquet...

I had lots of fun with my new sets from Papertrey Ink, Spooky Sweets and Green Thumb. I started out thinking I would use the pumpkin from Spooky Sweets as a container for a fall flower arrangement. Then I thought, "Why not make it a Halloween arrangement?" So, the pumpkin became a Jack-o-lantern, and the fall flowers became spiders! The Jack-o-lantern, spider, and sentiment are from Spooky Sweets, and the stems and leaves are from Green Thumb.

The card base is Basic Black, layered with Pumpkin Pie and halloween paper from last year's Holiday Mini Catalog. I dry embossed the Pumpkin Pie cardstock with my Cuttlebug and Spots & Dots embossing folder (Provo Craft).

I stamped the images with Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, and Old Olive ink on Naturals White cardstock. To create some dimension, I stamped the spiders a second time on another piece of cardstock, then I cut out the bodies. I used tiny pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere them over the first spiders. Now they just pop out of the arrangement! I drew around the pumpkin with a Blush Blossom marker, then I drew in some "ground" for it to sit on. I used the Ticket Corner Punch on the corners and added some faux stitching with the Crafter's Tool Kit and a Marvy black gel pen. The sentiment was punched out with the Small Oval Punch, then layered on a Basic Black large oval. I sponged around the image panel with Old Olive and around the small oval with Pumpkin Pie. I added Earth Elements brads and some Martha Stewart ribbon the to the ovals, then mounted everything on Stampin' Dimensionals.

I have to say, I'm not sure why I waited so long to order from Papertrey. Their clear acrylic stamps are very easy to use, and the images are just so cute! I don't know that I'd want to receive this little halloween arrangement, but it sure was fun to create! :) Thanks for visiting -- have a great day!

All products Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
