Hello! Happy Monday to you! Today I have my first MFTeaser of the sets being released this Wednesday, December 2. Today's teaser is of the new Pure Innocence stamps! Oh, how I {heart} these sweet girls! :)

I used Presents for You to make this bag front and card. I colored with Copics, paper pieced her coat and hat, and applied Frosted Lace Stickles to the hat, collar and ground line. Click on the photo for a closer view:

Be sure to visit my MFT Sisters to see more samples! Kim will have a list of everyone who is previewing the Pure Innocence stamps today -- it will be up on her blog by 11 am! Or, you can just go hopping through the MFT DT blogs (on my sidebar) -- you'll definitely see some eye candy!

CC Designs Winter Sugarplums Blog Hop!

Welcome to the CC Designs Winter Sugarplums Blog Hop! The winter Sugarplums stamp release is so large that the entire team is participating in a blog hop -- we want you to see all of the fantastic images, so you can see just what you can create with these stamps! If you didn't see all the projects so far, go to the ATS Blog HERE to start at the beginning!

I chose to ink up Trevor with Ornaments for my card. My family will be decorating our tree today, so it just seemed fitting to use this adorable image! The sentiment is from Winter Wishes by AmyR Stamps. The paper is from the Jolly by Golly Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket. Coloring was done with Copics.

Don't forget to comment at each stop along the hop -- one random comment from all the posts will be chosen to win the ENTIRE Winter Sugarplums stamp collection!!

Next you'll be headed over to visit Ria -- I'm sure she has something fabulous to share with you!

Thanks so much for hopping by! :)

Warm Cocoa Wishes

Happy Thursday, everyone -- and Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the US! I have a quick sample to show you today, and then I'm off to spend time with my family! :)

Today's preview is of the new Cookie Crumbs set called Warm Cocoa Wishes. Diane's stamps are always so cute, and I especially love her snowmen and winter images! I used the mug from the set to make this tag for some homemade cocoa. One of the gifts I like to make during the holidays is homemade drink mixes. They're perfect for friends, neighbors, teachers, and bus drivers! :)

To make the tag, I paper pieced and cut out the mug, then I popped it up on dimensionals. I applied some Frosted Lace stickles to the whipped cream. I rounded the top corners of the tag, but they're hidden by the ribbon.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow so I can spend time with family, but I'll be back on Saturday! Thank you so much for taking time to stop by today! :)

Have a great day!

You can see more samples of this set on the ATS Blog, and you can also check out the blogs of my ATS teammates (on my sidebar). All the new stamps will be released Monday, November 30 at 9:00 am Eastern.

Hello! It's that time of the month again -- time for previews, that is! Today is the first day of previews at All That Scraps. This is Holly Starshine -- one of two new Sweet November fairy stamps being released this month. The sentiment is from AmyR's Winter Sentiments. I colored with Copics and added some Stickles to her top and wings. The paper is BasicGrey Figgy.

This month's ATS stamps are being released at a special date and time, so you have enough time to ink them up before Christmas! The release is November 30 at 9:00 am Eastern. The Design Team will have a special Blog Hop on November 29th! You can find more information and samples on the ATS Blog.

I'll have another preview for you tomorrow -- thanks so much for coming by today!

Sunday Supper: Kentucky Pie

Hi there! Happy Sunday to you! For the next several weeks, I'll be sharing some recipes that are perfect for the holidays!

This recipe is for one of my favorite pies, Kentucky Pie or Derby Pie. Since I'm a Kentucky girl, I thought I'd share it with you! Pumpkin pies, move over -- make room for this one on your Thanksgiving table!

Kentucky Pie (from Paula Deen's Holiday Baking magazine)
1/2 (15-oz) package refrigerated pie crusts
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 Tbs all-purpose flour
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons bourbon
1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350. On a lightly floured surface, unroll piecrust. Roll pastry into a 12-inch circle. Press piecrust into a 9-inch pie plate, crimping edges if desired. In a large bowl, combine sugars and flour. Add corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, and bourbon, whisking until smooth. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans. Pour mixture into prepared piecrust. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until center of pie is set. Let cool for 1 hour before slicing. Serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce, if desired.

This weekend I've been working on samples for the upcoming ATS and MFT releases -- I can't wait to show them to you! We're having some gorgeous fall weather here -- sunny and temps near 60. It's going to be difficult to force myself to stamp today! I hope you have a great day planned -- thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Tuesday! It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Here's a Turkey Day card I made for my sister-in-law, who is hosting all of us for Thanksgiving dinner. The image and sentiment are from the Fall cling mounted set by American Art Stamp. I colored with Copics and sponged around the image with SU! So Saffron ink. I did some distressing and machine stitching, too.

I wanted to let you know that American Art Stamp is having a "Happy Happy 2009 Holiday" sale right now! Everything is 30% off -- just in time for holiday shopping! :)

Well, that's all for today! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit!

A Flurry of Texture!

Happy Monday, everyone! Yesterday was the 15th of the month, and that always means a new Dirty Dozen Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. If you aren't a SCS Fan Club Member, you are missing out on SO much eye candy and inspiration! Anyway, I was beyond thrilled to find out that my MFT Sister, Melody Rupple, is one of the two newest Dirty Dozen members! Woohoo, Melody!! The Fan Club can play along with the DD themes each month, and I couldn't resist this month's theme -- texture! This is my favorite time of year to add texture to my cards!

I used Flurry of Love, one of the new Pure Innocence sets from My Favorite Things, to create this card. *The PI sets have been SO popular, so this set is currently sold out, but it WILL be back in stock soon!*

Here are the ways I added texture to my card:
Cuttlebug snowflake background
Fun Flock (Lily White) on the trim of the hat, coat and boots
Stickles (Frosted Lace) on the snowflakes
Flower Soft (Polar White) on the ground
SU! Felt snowflakes
SU! Felt ribbon
Machine stitching

I also used MFT Adornments crystals and my snowflakes border punch. As you can see, I had a lot of fun adding all of the elements and creating some touchable texture! :)

Well, today is Anna's 8th birthday! I can't believe it! We're taking her out tonight, and we're celebrating with her grandparents on Wednesday. I have some gifts to wrap and a card to finish, so I'd better get busy! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Sunday Supper: Baked Ravioli

Happy Sunday! Today's recipe is super easy and has just three ingredients -- and you can use frozen ravioli!

Baked Ravioli
Jumbo cheese-filled ravioli (refrigerated or frozen), about 30 pieces
26-oz jar pasta sauce
4 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Heat oven to 375. Spread a thin layer of pasta sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place 15 ravioli over the sauce. Top with another layer of sauce and sprinkle with half the cheese. Pat down and repeat layers. Cover loosely with aluminum foil, sealing edges firmly. Bake 1 hour (1 hour 15 minutes if frozen), until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve with salad and bread. Enjoy! :)

Have a great day -- don't forget to spend some time around the supper table!

ATS Friday Review: Swiss Pixies

Happy Friday, everyone! Today at All That Scraps, we're reviewing the newly released Swiss Pixies! I probably don't have to tell you that I just love these sweet images! This is Santa Birgitta, and I paired her with a sentiment from Christmas Card Greetings by AmyR Stamps.

I was happy to find some of this retired SU! paper in my stash -- it's just perfect with this pixie! I colored with Copics and added some Icicle Stickles to her wings and the ground line.

Stop by the ATS Blog this afternoon to see what the other girls have created! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a fantastic Friday! :)

Flying by with a Birthday Hi!

Happy Thursday! Yesterday was my Dad's birthday. In typical fashion, I didn't get his card made until yesterday evening, but here it is! I had spotted this Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man paper in my stash and thought it would be perfect with this airplane from MFT's Going Places. The sentiment is from You Take the Cake.

I colored with Copics. The banner and airplane were cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The stitching in the ribbon was too white for this vanilla card, so I colored over it with my E11 Barely Beige Copic marker. I love that I can do that! :)

Hopefully Dad will have this card in his hands today -- better late than never! I did call him yesterday -- I'm not that bad! ;) Anyway, thanks for the visit today! I'm always glad when you stop by!

Have a great day!

Spa Day

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today's project is a tag I made to tie onto a spa package basket for a school fundraiser. Actually, it's a card front which could easily be placed on a card base.

I used the My Favorite Things set Girls Day In (which is currently out of stock, I think) and I paper pieced the image with BasicGrey Lemonade paper. I colored with Copics and lightly sponged around the image with SU! Soft Sky ink. I embellished with some machine stitching, Prima Caboodles, and MFT ribbon.

You know, I could use a little spa day myself! How about you? ;) I hope you have a relaxing day planned! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Believe in the Magic

Happy Tuesday! I love this image from American Art Stamp. Both the image and sentiment are part of the Winter Wonderland cling mounted set. The paper is Eskimo Kisses by BasicGrey. I colored with Copics, and I sponged around the image and sentiment with SU! Pink Pirouette ink.

I love the big snowflake in the image, but I couldn't leave well enough alone -- I had to add a couple punched snowflakes as well! I sponged them before adhering them. All three snowflakes were covered in Icicle Stickles, and I applied a pink crystal to each center.

Although this image is most likely a family, I prefer to think of it as my kids -- a boy and three girls! The sizes are perfect, too -- two big, two little! :)

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card today -- I hope you like it! I'll be back with more tomorrow!

Have a great day!

Cookie Break

Happy Monday! Here's another of the All That Scraps Digi Images being released today! This is Cookie Break, one of several adorable Christmas images by illustrator Amy Young. The sentiment is from Christmas Sentiments by AmyR Stamps.

The paper is Wassail by BasicGrey. I did some machine stitching around the holly panel. I colored with Copics and applied Frosted Lace Stickles to the trim on Santa's coat and hat. I aged the edges of the image panel and sentiment with Vintage Touch Chamomile Ink by Papertrey Ink.

There are SO many cute digi images being released today -- check them out HERE on the ATS Blog. They really are easy to use -- try them if you haven't already! :)

That's all for today! Thank you so much for your visits and comments!

Have a great day!

Sunday Supper: Lasagna Roll-Ups

Happy Sunday, everyone! Well, soccer and cross country are officially over at our house, so I'm hoping that we get more evenings to spend together around the table. I recently came across some great time-saving recipes in a Kraft Foods magazine -- here's one that will probably become a family favorite! :)

Lasagna Roll-Ups

1 egg, beaten
1 container (15 oz.) Ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded Italian Three Cheese Blend
4 green onions, chopped
1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
1 jar (26 oz.) spaghetti sauce, divided
16 lasagna noodles
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 375. Mix first five ingredients until well blended. Spread 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce on bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spread each noodle with 3 Tbsp. cheese mixture; roll up. Place rolls, seam side down, in dish, then top with remaining sauce and Parmesan cheese. Cover; bake 40 to 50 minutes or until heated through, uncovering the last 10 minutes.

This can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours. Change baking time to 65 minutes, uncovering the last 10 minutes. You can also freeze up to one month. When ready to bake, thaw in refrigerator, then bake for 65 minutes or until heated through, uncovering the last 10 minutes.

Enjoy!

I'll be back tomorrow with another ATS Digi sample for you -- I hope you'll stop back!

Have a great day, and don't forget to spend some time around the supper table!

ATS Digi Release!

Happy Saturday! I have something fun to tell you! On Monday, November 9, All That Scraps is having a special release! There were just too many fantastic images this month to make into rubber, so Christine is releasing some as digi images! Wait until you see all the cuteness -- elves, angels, Santa, and these adorable Sugarplums Pilgrims! You know I adore Emma and Trevor, so these were the first images I wanted to play with! :)

As you can see, I created two cards with the same layout and embellishments. I used different patterns of BasicGrey Indian Summer paper, and I colored with Copics. The sentiment is part of Autumn Sentiments by AmyR Stamps.

I have a couple more digi samples to share with you-- wait 'til you see how cute the Christmas images are! You can see more samples of the digi images on the ATS Blog later on today. Remember, they'll all be available on Monday!

That's all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Have a great day!

MFT Blog Hop Winner!

Just popping in with an announcement -- I have the winner of the MFT Blog Hop candy!

Scroll down to my Blog Hop post to see if it's YOU! :)

Baby Boom!

Happy Friday, everyone! Today's card is one of several baby cards I needed to make. It seems that everyone around me is having babies: two neighbors, three moms of Caroline's classmates, and my sister-in law -- I'm not drinking the water, that's for sure! ;)

Anyway, here's a baby girl card for my neighbor. I used Verve's Practically Perfect -- it's one of my all-time favorite baby sets! The paper is SU! Razzleberry Lemonade. I paper pieced the bunny's belly, feet and bow, and I colored the rest with Copics. I did some machine stitching around the border, and I applied pearl stickers to the necklace. The eyelet border punch and Prima Caboodles add some more frilly, feminine touches to this girly card! :)

I have some baby boy cards to make, too -- so I'll be showing those to you soon! I think I'll get busy on them after Caroline goes to school. Thank you so much for stopping by today -- I always appreciate it!

Have a fantastic Friday! :)

MFT November Hop!

ETA: Guess What?? I'm the Blog Candy giver this month! Our winner is:

bluepoohbear75 said...
Great card. I love all the colors and the paper.

Congrats! Please email me your address, and I'll forward it to Kim! :)

Hi there! Welcome to my stop on the My Favorite Things November Blog Hop! This release is full of fabulous sets -- I just can't choose a favorite! If you haven't seen all the goodness so far, head back to Kim's Blog and start from there! Go ahead -- I'll wait! ;)

My project features the set Wrapped in Love, which is this month's Who's That Girl? set. I had some fun with it, and I created a tall card (8.5" x 3.5") to hold all of the gifts! She's obviously been a good girl this year! ;) The main image in the set is WTG holding just the bottom box, and the other packages are additional images. I did a LOT of paper piecing with my BasicGrey Wassail paper!

Here's a closeup so you can see some of the details better (those tall cards are difficult to photograph!). I machine stitched around the paper panels, and I applied some Icicle Stickles to the bow on top. The top two packages are popped up on dimensionals.

There are sentiments in the set that are perfect for birthdays, too -- so you have a lot of possibilites! SO fun! :)

That's all for my stop! Next you'll be visiting my very sweet and mega-talented friend Joanne Basile -- get ready to feast your eyes on something fabulous! Also, don't forget to leave a comment at each stop along the way -- one of us has some blog candy to give away!

I hope you enjoyed your time here -- thanks so much for hopping by!

Freezin' Season

This is my favorite time of year to be a paper crafter. I {heart} snowy images, texture and lots of layers. I think the texture and layers are my way of making the snowy images more warm and cozy! ;) It's no surprise, then, that I {heart} Cool Yule, another new set from My Favorite Things!

I had a lot of fun with this card! I used my Cuttlebug snowflakes folder, some Imaginisce snowflakes paper, and a snowflakes border punch. They're just perfect with these adorable snowy friends, don't you think? I stamped the bird so it's standing on the polar bear's head, and I colored both with Copics. I paper pieced the scarf and applied Stickles to the hat. The machine stitching and stitched ribbon give it some warmth. I just love the way it turned out! :)

You can find more Teasers with this adorable set if you visit these members of the MFT Design Team (if they aren't posted yet, check back -- you don't want to miss the eye candy!):

That's all the stampy goodness I have for now, but I promise more fun tomorrow! Thanks so much for the visit today!

Introducing Pure Innocence!

Happy Monday, everyone! Today's MFTeasers are of images from a totally adorable NEW line! It's called Pure Innocence, and there are five images being released this month! I have two of them to show you here! On the first, I used some October Afternoon paper for the background, and I punched the bottom. I paper pieced her dress with some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper.

On my second sample I paired the image with BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses paper. I paper pieced her clothes and machine stitched around one of the panels. I applied Icicle Stickles to the snowballs and to the punched snowflakes.

You can find more samples of these darling girls if you visit some of my MFT sisters:

Remember, all of the new MFT stamps will be released this Wednesday, November 4, at 10:00 pm Eastern!

That's all for today -- I'll have another teaser for you tomorrow! :)

Gifty Girl Goes Christmas Shopping!

Happy Sunday! I hope your Halloween was full of lots of treats and no tricks! Today it's time to begin the MFTeasers for the My Favorite Things November release! This is Gifty Girl -- she was previously in a MFT Kit, but now she's being released all by herself! :)

I used her to make this shopping notebook. Hopefully it will help me keep my Christmas shopping more organized! I started with a mini composition book, and I covered it with BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses 6x6 paper (I love the colors in this collection!). I paper pieced the image and embellished with a scalloped border, ribbon, and brads. I punched tabs from the paper and attached them to sheets inside the notebook.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created! You can find teasers from: Kim
Frances
Joanne
Jessie
Cindy
and our Guest Designer- Melody Rupple

I'll have another Teaser for you tomorrow, so I hope you'll stop back! Thank you so much for the visit today!

Have a great day!
