Got Candy?

Hi there! Happy Memorial Day to all my American friends! Today's MFTeasers are all about the new Pure Innocence sets! I used Lollipop Girl to make a candy jar for my daughter's teacher. She gives Jolly Rancher treats to the class sometimes, so I thought this would be a great thank-you gift for her!

I started with a Perfect Packaging Square Jar. I used BasicGrey Sugar Rush paper along with some MFT Top Shelf Ribbon and Spring Collection buttons.

I colored the image with Copics, then I cut her out. For some extra sugary goodness, I sprinkled some Glitzy Glitter on the lollipop.

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am today for a list of all the MFT Designers who have some Pure Innocence sweetness to share! I'll be back with another MFTeaser tomorrow -- I hope you'll come back!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

MFTeaser: Wyatt Says WOW!

Happy Sunday! Welcome to another day of MFTeasers! Today we're previewing three more sets: Fred Bear and the Butterfly, Emma Blowing Kisses, and Wyatt Says WOW!

I used Wyatt Says WOW! for my card. I have a son and three daughters, so most of the time you'll find a lot of pink and "girlie" in my house and in my card designs. I am always happy when I have an adorable boy image to work with -- and Wyatt is definitely adorable! :) I paired him with several patterns of Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man paper. I paper pieced Wyatt's shirt and colored the rest of the image with my Copics. I stitched and distressed around the paper and cardstock, and I added a row of Die-namics Jumbo Scallops (currently sold out). I covered a chipboard "W" (for Wyatt, of course!) with the paper, then I sanded and inked the edges.

Stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am for a list of all the designers previewing sets today! I'm sure you won't be disappointed! :)

We're headed to my niece's graduation party today -- it should be a lovely day! I hope you all have some great weekend plans, too! Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Have a great day,

MFTeaser: Baby Makes Three

Happy Saturday, everyone! Today is Day One of the June MFTeasers! This month's sets are cuter than ever!

There are three sets being previewed today, and my sample features Baby Makes Three. The sentiments are perfect for baby congratulations or for birth announcements! I colored the image with an Aquapainter and SU! reinkers. I had some fun with my Die-namics, too! I have two rows of Jumbo Scallops (cut from the Kioshi paper) topped with the NEW Jumbo Ric Rac (cut from My Favorite Felt).

You'll want to see all the cuteness being previewed today, so be sure to stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see who has something to show you! :) I'll be back tomorrow with Day Two -- I hope to see you then!

Thank you so much for visiting! Have a great day!

New Die-namics!

Hello, and Happy Friday! It's time to preview the June products from My Favorite Things, and today we have new Die-namics to show you! YAY! We are so excited about these dies, and we know you will be, too! :)

Can you tell where I used the Die-namics on this card...??

It's the Jumbo Ric Rac! Many of you know that Jody has a serious obsession with all things ribbon, so it's no surprise that a ribbon die was in the works!

The really cool thing, though, is the new Ribbon Re:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board -- it gives the ric rac the look of real grosgrain!

Can you see the texture? How cool is that?!? Now you can have ric rac to coordinate with any project -- it's brilliant, I tell ya! :)

These aren't the only dies being released June 2! The others are just as fabulous, I promise! Stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see who has some samples to share with you! :)

Tomorrow I'll have Day One of the June MFTeasers -- I hope you'll stop back! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Simple Thank You

Hello! Happy Wednesday! I don't know about you, but around here things have been busy with lots of end-of-school activities. I can't believe the school year is finally drawing to a close. My son just finished his finals yesterday, so he's officially a high school senior! Yikes! My daughters won't be finished until next week. During this time of year, I think of all the people I need to thank, like teachers and the bus driver. I came up with a clean and simple thank you card which is easily mass produced. The colors, sentiment, papers or embossing can be changed to create an entirely different look!

The sentiment is from this month's MFT Triple Scoop set, Thanks a Bunch. I used my Die-namics Jumbo Scallop die to cut the scallops from the new Take Note digi papers. The bottom of the card was embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder.

ETA: Today's Wednesday Stamp Club (WSC) is about incorporating Take Note or other sheet music into your projects -- stop by Kim's Blog to check it out! :)

I need to get the rest of my thank-yous made, so I had better get busy! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Retirement Book

The vice-principal at my daughters' school is retiring this year, and each class is making something special for her. Anna's class put together a book, and her teacher asked me if I would make the cover. Of course, I pulled out my MFT stamps and got to work! :)

The kids came up with ideas for what retirement means (i.e. babysitting grandchildren, vacation, fishing, golfing), and they created illustrations for the pages. I used Alpha Dots to stamp the letters of the title, then I punched them out with a 1" circle punch. I used the Die-namics Jumbo Scallop die to cut the scallops from a sheet of My Favorite Felt - Necessary Neutrals.

This image from Pure Innocence: Book in Hand seemed like the perfect one for a retiring teacher. I colored it with Copics to coordinate with the paper (The Boyfriend Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket).

This is the closest thing to a scrapbook page I've done in a long time! Maybe I'll give it another try... ;)

Thank you so much for visiting today! I really do appreciate it!

Have a fantastic Friday!

MFT's Greatest Hits: Stephanie Fizer

Hi there! It's time once again for MFT's Greatest Hits! Each month, the DT will ink up some of our favorite already-released sets -- and this month it's all about Stephanie Fizer! I chose to work with Hooga Booga. The characters are so sweet and adorable!

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for the layout. The paper is from the BasicGrey Origins 6x6 pad. I paper pieced the image and colored with Copics.

I embellished the front with a gathered ribbon flower and felt clouds. Of course, I had to use the Die-namics Cloud Trio and My Favorite Felt - Necessary Neutrals. I am having too much fun with these new products! :)

I used the Die-namics Scalloped Scallop die on the inside of the card.

Guess what? There is a special promotion to go with our Greatest Hits! Good only on Thursday and Friday of this week, 15% off Fizer sets. The code is FIZER.

Stop by Kim's Blog today after 11 am to see who has some Fizer to share! I'm quite sure there is a lot of cuteness out there! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a great day!

Teacher Thanks

Hello! I can't believe it's been almost a week since I posted here -- life just got in the way of my stamping time! I attended a training course last week from Monday-Friday, and the weekend was spent with family activities and playing catch-up around the house! It felt good to sit down and stamp something again!

If you haven't stopped by Jen del Muro's blog, i{heart}2stamp, lately -- be sure to check out this week's Sketch for You to Try. It's sponsored by My Favorite Things, and you can win a $25 Gift Certificate and the new Die-namics Jumbo Scallops die! I used the sketch to make this card for Teacher Appreciation Week at school.

The image is from Pure Innocence: Book in Hand. The sentiment is from this month's Triple Scoop set, Thanks a Bunch. I used the Die-namics Jumbo Scallops die and the new cork sheets to make the scalloped border. The paper is from October Afternoon's Cherry Hill and Night Light collections.

That's all for now -- I'm so glad you stopped to visit! :)

Have a great day!

MFT May Shop and Hop!

Hi there! It's time to Shop and Hop with My Favorite Things! We are so excited about this release, and we hope you are, too! There are so many adorable new sets plus the new Die-namics!

If you've arrived here from Julie's Blog, you're right where you belong! If you didn't start at the beginnning, then head back to Kim's Blog and catch up!

My card features the set Clearly Sentimental about Babies. It was last month's Triple Scoop set, but now it's available for purchase! I really do love the Clearly Sentimental line of stamps -- the fonts and sentiments are beautiful and are perfect for so many occasions! Plus, I like that I can put the focus on the sentiment instead of just an image!

Anyway, back to the card... I used the Die-namics Jumbo Scallops die to create the three layers of scallops. I inked all the edges of the paper and cardstock. The lace trim and twine are from MFT's Bakery Blend Ribbons, and the button is from the Spring Collection.

All of the just-released products can be found right HERE, right NOW! Enjoy your shopping! ;)

That's all for my stop! Next you'll be visiting the multi-talented Sherrie! I can't wait to see what she's created!

Thanks so much for hopping by! :)

MFTeasers, Day 4

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start! I'm attending a training course all week (certification for the tutoring I do), and it's tough to be back in "school!" I may be a zombie by Friday! It's nice to take a break and share something stampy! :)

Today My Favorite Things is previewing three new sets! The one I chose to share with you is Jolinne - Heart on a String. I stamped her on watercolor paper and colored her using an Aquapainter and SU! inks. The paper is from the Lemonade 6x6 pad by BasicGrey. I stamped the balloon on one of the papers and popped it up outside the image oval.

Stop by Kim's Blog today after 11 am to see all of today's MFTeasers! I can't wait to check them out myself! Remember that all of the new releases will be available WEDNESDAY at 10 pm!

Have a great day, everyone -- thanks so much for stopping by!

MFTeasers, Day 3

Hello! Happy Monday! It's Day 3 of MFTeasers, and today we're previewing the new Pure Innocence sets! I had so much fun with this little Beach Bum! :)

I colored with Copics and I paper pieced her swimsuit. I stamped, colored and cut out the shovel and pail. I cut a tiny slit next to her thumb and inserted the shovel so it looks like she's holding it. I stamped, colored and cut out a second right arm and right leg and popped them up slightly, and I put the pail between her two legs. Finally, I stamped, colored and cut out the shell and popped it up.

I finished the inside of the card. I stamped the sandcastle image in Sahara Sand ink.

There is a lot of Pure Innocence cuteness being released this month, so be sure to stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see who has previews! Remember that all of the new sets (and the new Die-namics!) will be released Wednesday, May 5 at 10 pm! :)

I'll have more for you tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

MFTeasers, Day 2

Hi there! I'm back with Day 2 of MFTeasers! Today's sets are Little Loveasaurus and Fred Bear Has a Birthday. Both are just adorable!

I am IN LOVE with this Loveasaurus. I mean really, how cute is he?? I just love his little face peeking out of the costume!! I used Basic Grey Archaic paper, and I embossed the blue panel with my Cuttlebug and Tiny Bubbles folder. I paper pieced the costume and added some shading with a Prismacolor pencil.

Next is Fred Bear, celebrating his birthday! I colored him with Copics and added some Stickles to the cupcake. The paper is from the Sweet Celebrations line by Bella Blvd -- perfect with this image! I embossed the Summer Sun panel with my Cuttlebug and Birthday folder. The Baby Braddies are from MFT.

Don't forget to stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see who has more samples to show you!

Have a wonderful Sunday -- thanks so much for spending some time here with me! :)
