November MFTeasers, Day Two

Happy Sunday, and Happy Halloween! Today I have a MFTeaser of You Spin Me Additions. It coordinates with the Game Night Spinner Die & Stamp Set Duo. This set gives so many more options to use with this fun die! I created a spinner full of holiday sweets!

I was thrilled that the images in this set coordinated so perfectly with this October Afternoon Very Merry paper. I added the Die-namics Snowflake Trio to the spinner center and the bow.

Stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see which designers have Teasers for you today! Be sure to comment on each designer's post for a chance to win Teaser Prizes! :)

I'll be back tomorrow with another Teaser for you! Thanks for visiting today! Have a safe and happy Halloween, everyone!

November MFTeasers, Day 1

Hi there! Happy Saturday! It's time for MFTeasers! This is my favorite time of the month! The MFT DT will be having teasers each day from now until Wednesday, November 3. Just check Kim's Blog each day after 11 am for the complete list of designers who have previews that day. Leave a comment on each designer's post for a chance to win Teaser Prizes! :)

Today we're previewing Wyatt - Just Chillin', Emma Celebrates the Season, and Mini Banner Day Alphabet and Die. My first sample features Wyatt - Just Chillin'. The paper is Jolly by Golly by Cosmo Cricket. I paper pieced the hats, scarves and mtten, and I applied some Icicle Stickles to the snowman and ground. You'll see two Die-namics here: Let it Snowflake Trio and the NEW Littlle Open Scallop Strip!

My next sample features the NEW Die-namics Mini Banner Day Alphabet and Banner Strip Die! It's also a sample for this month's Guest Designer Contest - Supply and Demand! Kerry and I are your hostesses this month, and we want you to incorporate school or office supplies into your design! You will find all the challenge details HERE on the MFT Forum!

To make this pencil holder, I altered a wooden box and covered it with October Afternoon Report Card paper. I colored just the apple on this Pure Innocence Apple for You image. I inked all the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

The Mini Banner Day Alphabet and Die-namics Banner Strip Die are SO fun! They are such a great way to personalize any project! :)

A Mad Halloween Tag

Happy Friday, everyone! It seems that the weeks just fly by, don't they? I can't believe Halloween is just two days away! We have costumes and candy, so we are ready! :)

The theme for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club is "Tag, You're It!" The challenge is to make a tag, and you can find the details HERE. I have been wanting to pair up Costumes from Wonderland with Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland paper for weeks, and this challenge gave me a chance to do it! I love making tags. They're such a fun way to dress up a gift bag or bag of goodies. This one is clipped to a Halloween bag of treats!

I embossed the Perfect Plum background with my Cuttlebug and Polka Dots embossing folder. There are a lot of paper layers and plenty of stitching! The bottom scallop was cut with the Die-namics Small Scallop Border.

Here's a closeup of the image. I paper pieced her "mad" outfit and colored the rest with Copics. I embellished with black twine and a wood button.

Tomorrow we begin MFTeasers of the November sets! YAY! You won't want to miss it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Winter Wonderland

Hi there! Happy Thursday to you! I am slowly adding to my stash of holiday cards. Here I paired up JustRite's Whimsical Christmas set and Crate Paper's Snow Day 6x6 Pad, both available at Stamper's Dream.

I inked the edges of the image layers with Antique Linen Distress Ink to define them, then I popped each layer up on dimensional boosters. I added some Diamond Stickles to the snowflake image. The bow was topped with a Cappuccino Button and Ivory Burlap String.

The weekend is just around the corner! I have a couple Halloween treats to finish up -- hopefully I can share them with you tomorrow! Saturday will be the start of MFTeasers and the November Guest Designer Contest! There's a lot coming up -- I hope you'll stop by to check it out! Thank you for visiting today!

Have a great day!

Blessings

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I know it's been several days since I've posted -- I'm sorry about that! I have been stamping, but it's nothing I can show you yet! LOL! The MFT release is just around the corner, and I was finishing up samples! Lemme just say that you will *love* the new sets! :)

I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch to jump start my mojo yesterday. I have been wanting to ink up this set from Taylored Expressions called Celebrate Life, and I paired it with BasicGrey Indian Summer paper.

I embossed the background paper with my Cuttlebug and Polka Dots embossing folder. I paper pieced the pumpkin and added some colored adhesive rhinestones. The chipboard flourish was inked with Chocolate Chip ink, then I lightly sanded the edges. I used the MFT's Die-namics Perfect Bracket Edge on the bottom panel.

That's it for today! I am so glad you stopped to visit!

Have a great day! :)

Fall Apples

Happy Thursday, everyone! Around here we have been blessed with some gorgeous fall weather lately. Fall is my favorite time of year -- the colors, the smells, the cool temperatures -- I love it all! :) When I saw this new Flourishes set Apple of my Eye at Stamper's Dream, I knew I had to have it. I combined it with Crate Paper's Restoration paper to make a fall card.

This card is 5.5" square to accommodate the large image. I stamped the image and sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copics. I added some Diamond Stickles to the flower centers. The edges were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I wove some twill through the crochet ribbon and topped it with a Cappuccino Button and Ivory Burlap String.

That's all for today! I'm so glad you stopped to visit!

Have a great day!

Teachers Rule!

Hello! It's time for the MFT VIP Hop, and you've come to my stop! If you haven't seen all the goodness so far, be sure to go back and start at Kim's Blog! The MFT VIP is a ONE DAY only product that gives you the opportunity to purchase the newest Who's That Girl? set two weeks early!

Here's what you get in this month's Teacher's Pet VIP Package:

I *squealed* when I first saw this set -- I AM a teacher, you know! The images alone are fantastic, but the sentiments in both the WTG set and the mini set are just so perfect for anything you'd want to say to a teacher! :)

I paper pieced WTG's shirt, books, hands and apple. I applied some Crystal Lacquer to the apple to make it shiny. The edges of the paper were distressed and inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The little report card was cut from one of the patterns of the School Spirit paper. Although I ended up covering most of it, I used the Die-namics Notebook Edge Die on the top of the lined paper panel.

I used the lined paper image from the WTG set on the inside of the card, and I inked it with Cool Caribbean and Pumpkin Pie ink. So fun!

Don't forget that the two new à la modes, It Must Be Love and What's Cooking? are also available NOW at My Favorite Things!

Now I'll send you over to visit my sweet friend Lisa Henke! I know she'll have some gorgeous eye candy for you! :)

Thanks so much for hopping by!

à la modes - What's Cooking?

Happy Tuesday! Today I have a preview of the à la modes set What's Cooking?. I am just in {love} with these girls, aren't you? I kept the layout simple so I could keep the focus on this adorable image and the fun paper (Haute Cuisine by Teresa Collins). I colored with Copics and applied some Frosted Lace Stickles to her apron ruffle. The ribbon is from MFT's Perfect Plaid Ribbons.

Visit Kim's Blog after 11 am today to see which designers have more previews for you! Then be sure to come back tonight for the MFT VIP Hop! The new Who's That Girl? set is definitely one after my own heart! :)

I'm headed out the door to sub at my daughters' school -- my second day in a row! I hope you have a good day planned -- thanks so much for stopping by!

à la modes - It Must Be Love

Hi there! Happy Monday to you! Today the My Favorite Things DT has previews of  one of the new à la modes being released tomorrow night! This is It Must Be Love.

I *love* this Paper Girl collection paper from The Girls Paperie. You just can't beat pink and black together! I colored the image with Copics, and I blinged out the big ol' diamond with a Star Dust pen and some MFT Adornments Crystals. I HAD to add a felt rolled rose, made with My Favorite Felt and the Die-namics Rolled Rose Die (currently sold out)!

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog today after 11 am for a list of designers who have previews of this sweet new set! I'll be back tomorrow with a preview of the other new à la modes set, and then we'll have the VIP Hop tomorrow night! :)

I hope your week is off to a good start! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Winter Sledding

Happy Saturday, everyone! Thank you for all the sweet comments about my exciting news yesterday! It was definitely a fun day! :)

Although it is a perfectly GORGEOUS autumn day here today, I have a winter card to show you! The image is from Whimsical Christmas, and the sentiment is from Nature's Nested Sentiments, both by JustRite Stampers. The fun paper is from the Snow Day 6x6 pad by Crate Paper.

I colored the image with Copics and applied Icicle Stickles to the snowflakes. I used Circle Nestabilities to cut and emboss the image layers. The edges were inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I embellished with a rhinestone flourish, Big Red Button, and Silver Metallic String.

I'm off to watch Megan's cross country meet, and then we're taking the girls to a pumpkin patch! I LOVE this time of year! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today -- have a great day!

Happy Friday, everyone! It's a VERY happy Friday for me! I've been keeping a little secret from you, and I can finally spill the beans!

Another Busy Weekend!

Happy Monday, everyone! Wow, the weekend flew by! We had a soccer tournament and a neighborhood block party, so it was fun but busy! I also did a little fall clean-up in the garden, since our weather has been beautiful! With all the outside activities, I didn't get a lot of extra stamping time, so nothing to share today!

I do have some projects on the horizon to share with you this week, so please stop back! Tomorrow we'll have our monthly MFT's Greatest Hits!

I'm going to hang out with Lisa Henke this morning -- I can't wait! I think a little Starbucks and scrapbook store stopping are on the agenda! :)

Have a great day, everyone -- thanks so much for always stopping by! See you tomorrow! :)

Clean and Simple Autumn Card

Happy Thursday evening, everyone! It has been a GORGEOUS autumn day here -- cloudless blue sky, cool breeze, temps in the 70s -- the kind of day you just want to bottle up! After running kids here and there and getting my house in order this afternoon, I sat down to stamp. I was in the mood for some clean and simple, and here's the result! :)

The sentiment and frame are from JustRite's Give Thanks Nested Frames. I colored with Copics and added dots of Cinnamon Stickles. The paper is from the Fly a Kite 8x8 pad by October Afternoon. I distressed the edges and added just a couple small rows of zig zag stitches. The cappuccino button is tied on with natural burlap string.

I hope you are enjoying some autumn weather where you are, too! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

October MFT Hop & Shop!

Hello there! Welcome to my stop on the MFT Release Hop! If you came here by way of Barbara's Blog, you're right on track! If you haven't seen all of the projects so far, you'll want to start at the beginning with Kim's Blog!

My card features the set Clearly Sentimental about Books. It was last month's Triple Scoop set, but now it's available on its own! If you love books like I do, this set is a must-have! :)

I stamped a silhouette image from the set I {Heart} Books behind the sentiment. I just love this sentiment -- it's from one of my favorite authors! :) The paper is from October Afternoon's Report Card line. I used the Die-namics Notebook Edge Die on the top of the image panel.

You can find all of the new MFT products right HERE, right now! Next I'll send you on to see what Frances has created for you -- I'm sure it's something fantastic! Thanks so much for hopping by!

Happy shopping!

MFTeasers, Day Five

It's the final day of MFTeasers! Today we're previewing three sets: Winter in the City WTG, Happy Thoughts, and Snowflake Flopsey. I just had to ink up Flopsey for my sample today! :)

I kept the embellishments pretty simple, because I didn't want to cover up any of this October Afternoon Very Merry paper. I DID have to make a jumbo snowflake with the NEW Die-namics Let It Snowflake die! I cut the snowflakes from the patterned paper and from some My Favorite Felt, then I applied some Stickles to the layers.

I finished the inside with a trio of stamped snowflakes and the sentiment. I added Stickles to the inside of these snowflakes, too.

Stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see the list of designers who have MFTeasers for you today! Then be sure to join us tonight for the Release Party from 8-10 pm, followed by the Hop and Shop at 10:00! I hope to see you then!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

MFTeasers, Day Four

Happy Tuesday! The MFT DT is back with Teasers of three more new sets -- Jolinne I’m Sorry, Flappers in the Kitchen and a set from a brand new line, Inspired by – Caged Bird. I used the new Caged Bird set for my card today.

I pulled the colors from this My Mind's Eye So Sophie paper. I stamped the diamonds directly onto the paper at the bottom, and I lightly distressed all the edges. I used a heat tool to wrinkle the organdy ribbon (be careful to apply the heat lightly so you don't burn the ribbon). See the buttons? They were made with cardstock and the NEW Die-namics Button Quartet Die!

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am to see which designers have previews today! Don't forget to leave a comment on each post for a chance to win a stamp set! Kim will post each day's winners on her blog! There's still time to enter the Guest Designer Challenge -- entries can be posted until 10 pm tonight! We'll have one more day of Teasers tomorrow, then it's time for the Release Party and the Shop Hop tomorrow night!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I do appreciate it so much!

Have a great day!

MFTeasers, Day Three: Pure Innocence!

Happy Monday, everyone! It's Day Three of MFTeasers, and it's Pure Innocence Monday! This month's PI images are simply adorable -- aren't they all? :)

I used the PI set Lil' Pumpkin to make a tag for this mini loaf caddy. I loooooove pumpkin bread, and I enjoy making it in the fall! My family gobbled up the other three loaves, but this one was saved for a little gift!

I started with 4" x 12" sheets of cardstock and paper to make the bread caddy. I scored each sheet at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2", 7 1/2", 9 1/2", and 10 1/2". After adhering the layers together, I used the Die-namics Perfect Bracket Edge die to cut the decorative ends. I had to run it back and forth a few times, but it cut through all three layers! I used SU! Jumbo Eyelets to hold the ends closed, and I tied Cotton Twill through the openings. I tied the tag on with twine and an Earth Girl Button.

Here's all your release info:

MFTeasers, Day Two

Hello there! Happy Sunday to you! It's Day Two of MFTeasers, and today's sets are Fred Bear Snow Bear, Game Day Duo, and Ballet Millie. I was so glad to see Millie again -- she just makes me smile! All three of my girls are taking dance this year, so I just had to ink up this sweet image! :)

This card is 4.25" square. I love this sweet paper from The Girls Paperie. I paper pieced her skirt/tutu with the dotted pattern, and I cut the scallops with the Die-namics Jumbo Scallop Die. I colored with Copics and applied some Cotton Candy Stickles to the bow.

I stamped Millie in Pirouette Pink on the inside, and I added the sentiment.

Here's the Release 411:

Teaser Time, and World Card Making Day!

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's an exciting day in Blogland for two reasons!  It's the start of MFTeasers, and it's also World Card Making Day! Woohoo!  :)

Today's MFTeasers are of two sets, Polka Dot Greetings and Clearly Sentimental about Books (last month's Triple Scoop set). Polka Dot Greetings is a Die-namics frame die and stamp set sold together, and it is SO much fun!

Here is my sample using this set:

I had fun with the dotty theme, and I used several patterns of My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary paper. I cut the scallops with the Die-namics Scalloped Scallop die, and I cut the felt rose with the NEW Die-namics Rolled Rose Die! Isn't is SO cool?

*Before I move on to the World Card Making Day fun, I want to remind you to stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am each day today through Wednesday for a list of all the designers who have that day's previews! Be sure to leave a comment on each designer's post, because some of us have prizes to give away!*

Now, how about a little challenge for WCMD?

MFT is happy to participate in Splitcoaststampers' “Hope You Can Cling To” card drive for patients with breast cancer at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX and we would love for you to join us!

You can find challenges on the HYCCT Challenge Forum, and there is a challenge on the MFT Forum, too! Play along with us! :)

In addition to the challenge, Kim is having a WCMD Sale this weekend at My Favorite Things! You can find the details HERE! :)

So, is that enough excitement for one day? Are you up for the WCMD challenge? Are you excited about the MFTeasers? There's more to come tomorrow -- I hope you'll stop back! :)

Have a great day!
