Pure Innocence Gets Dirty!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Today's Teasers are of the adorable new Pure Innocence sets! I have two to share with you today. Both are samples for two of today's Dare to Get Dirty challenges over at Splitcoaststampers. :)

Make Today a Beautiful Day

This first card features the Pure Innocence set, Sunflower Girl. It's a sample for my Dare to Get Dirty challenge! :) The papers are from the Old School 6x6 pack by Pink Paislee. The cork flourish was made with the NEW Die-namics Fancy Flourish die.

I love this sweet inside sentiment. It's so true, isn't it? :)

A is for Apple

My second card features the set, Caramel Apple.  It's a sample for Carole's DTGD challenge. Oh, how I'm looking forward to cooler fall days and trips to the pumpkin patch. We always leave with pumpkins and caramel apples. Yum! The papers are from the Circa 1934 Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket. I placed the sentiment on the new Die-namics Bracket Tab. I applied some Crystal Lacquer to the caramel to make it shiny and gooey. ;)

Die-namics used on these cards:

Ticket to My Heart

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's Day Two of Teasers for the My Favorite Things August release! Today the Creative Team is previewing Just the Ticket, à la modes - I Spy, and à la modes - Bundle of Baby. Beginning this month, the à la modes have been moved to the main release! Yay! :)

My card features Just the Ticket, a new Die-namics Duo stamp set and die combination.

Ticket to My Heart

There are several Die-namics in use on this card! The sentiment is on, of course, Just the Ticket. I placed the circle from the Sweet Stack Labels over the smaller die in the new Open Scallop Doily Duo. I topped them both with a felt heart cut with the Hearts a Plenty die. Then, I added a Double Scallop Border (currently out of stock) to the horizontal panel.

I placed another felt heart and another ticket on the inside. LOVE this ticket. :)

Here are the details about the upcoming release on August 2 at 10 PM EST:

August Teasers Begin Today!

Hi there! TGIF! Today is the first day of Teasers for the My Favorite Things release on Tuesday, August 2. Today the Creative Team is previewing these sets: Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy and By the Numbers. By the Numbers is a Die-namics Duo stamp set and dies. It has SO many possibilities!

I created a 50th birthday card with some papers from the Picket Fence 6x6 pad by lily bee design. I distressed the edges, added a bit of zig zag stitching, and rounded the edges of the main panel to create a long tag.

I cut the numbers from paper and from Sour Apple cardstock to give them some dimension. I used the smaller of the two dies in the NEW Die-namics Open Scallop Doily Duo behind the numbers.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on August 2 at 10 PM EST:

Wednesday Stamp Club, Week 30

Hello there! I'm getting inky again after my CHA break. I had such a fantastic time with my MFT teammates and all my stampy friends -- lots of inspiration, laughter, and food! :) I'll have pics to share next week! Today, though, I have a sample for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club. It's a fun sketch with lots of layers. I inked up Fred Bear - Oopsie Daisies, and I paired him with some Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup papers.

I colored Fred with Copic markers. I spent part of the weekend watching Michele color -- and oh my, can that girl color. I'm hoping just a little of it will rub off on me. ;) I placed some bling in the flower centers, and I cut a Pretty Posy with Cherry on Top felt.

I finished the inside very simply, with paper and a little more bling. :)

Stop by Kim's Blog now to see which designers have samples to share with you today! We're gearing up for the August release -- Teasers start Friday, and Freeze Frames have already begun over at Kim's Blog!

That's all for today -- thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Getting Sketchy, Week 29

Hello there! It's Wednesday, so that means it's time for another MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch! you can get all the details HERE. This week's sketch will become a go-to layout for me, I'm sure!

I inked up this sweet PI and the Pinwheel, and I paired it with papers from the Picket Fence 6x6 pad by lily bee design.  The scalloped border was created with the Die-namics Simply Scallops Medium and cherry felt. I also used the Die-namics Stacking Stars with some cork.

I paper pieced the pinwheel in two layers. I placed a Baby Braddie through the center and popped up the corners for some dimension.

I placed another cork star and a sentiment flag on the inside.

Be sure to head over to Kim's Blog for a list of designers who have samples with this great sketch!

Well, this morning I'm on the road to CHA for the Supershow-- I am SO excited to see my MFT teammates and many other stamping friends! Did you know you can check out live updates, photos and videos from the CHA Show HERE at Splitcoaststampers? So fun! :)

Wrapped with Love

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I have a little Christmas in July project to share with you. It's a quick and simple wrap for a gift -- in this case, a hot cocoa box. When the Christmas season rolls around, simple solutions for gifts and gift wraps are what I'm always looking for. This Charming Christmas set from JustRite Stampers is perfect for making sweet tags for your gifts and packages.

I used cardstock and paper to make a belly band for the acetate box, then I tied on the ribbon. I stamped the frame and sentiment, then I cut and embossed it with a Spellbinders star charm.

I dotted some Stardust Stickles here and there, and I tied the charm on to the ribbon with Silver Metallic String.

I hope this gives you some ideas for quick and easy wrapping! That's all for now -- thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Getting Sketchy, Week 28

Hi there! It's time for another MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch! Can you believe it's already Week 28? This week's sketch is so much fun -- click HERE for all the details!

The new Die-namics Sew Nifty stamp set and dies were just perfect for this layered, scrappy sketch. I paired them with some October Afternoon The Thrift Shop papers. After die-cutting and stamping the dress form image, I paper pieced it with the patterned paper. I placed the sentiment inside the new Die-namics File Tab.

I tied some Caribbean Teal Twine around the die-cut spool for a realistic effect.

I couldn't resist finishing the inside with another image and sentiment from this fun set!

Stop by Kim's Blog to see which designers have samples with this great sketch! We'd love for you to play along -- just upload to SCS with keyword MFTWSC28 for a chance to win a MFT gift voucher! :)

Thank you for stopping by today -- have a wonderful Wednesday!

MFT DT Creative Challenge: On a Roll!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're On a Roll!  Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

MFT now has several rolled flowers in the Die-namics lineup: Rolled Daisy, Rolled Flower, Rolled Rose, Mini Rolled Roses, and Large Rolled Rose. These dies make it SO easy to create rolled embellishments for your projects.

It's fun to think out of the box and explore different ways to use the Die-namics -- and this challenge allowed me to do just that! I couldn't help but notice that the Rolled Daisy, when cut from Puff Cloud White felt and tightly rolled, looks very much like a pom pom... so that's the direction I took with my card. :)  Tip: This works best with felt, because paper doesn't have the same softness and movement needed to create the pom pom effect.

This sweet Pure Innocence Cheerleader was just too perfect to use with these Rolled Daisy pom poms. I paired the image with some papers from the Lime Twist - Out of the Blue pad by My Mind's Eye. I used the Die-namics Fishtail Banner and the Typewriter Alphabet to create the sentiment banner.

I finished the inside simply, with paper and a sentiment.

Don't forget to stop by Kim's Blog to see which designers are On a Roll!  Thanks so much for stopping by today -- I'll be back tomorrow for Wednesday Stamp Club! :)

Have a great day!

JiFFy Time!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I have some fun and exciting news -- I  have been asked to join some of my favorite stamping friends in their Just For Fun challenges! Yep, I'm a JiFFy Girl! :)

I am SO excited to join Carole, Lori, Michele, and other newbies Amy and Jody for this monthly challenge. Here's how it works: one person chooses the paper, and another chooses the image(s). They're sent out to the others, and no one knows what they are until we get them. Sometimes they work together perfectly, sometimes not... that's the challenge. And it's Just For Fun.

This month, Lori chose the paper, Bohemian Floral from the Le Cirque Collection by Graphic 45. Carole chose the images from the Spiffy Scooters set by Paper Smooches. They're a great combination -- I was glad I didn't have to sweat too much over my first challenge. ;)

I used Copic markers to color this adorable scooter. I don't know if there really are orange scooters like this one out there, but it works in my world. ;)  I placed some baby braddies through the dots between the words in the sentiment.

I cut out the little steam puffs and popped them up on glue dots. I applied some Liquid Applique and immediately puffed it up with a heat tool.

I finished the inside with more paper and another sentiment.

Be sure to check out what the other girls have done with the same paper and images! I can't wait to see them myself! :)
