Getting Sketchy, Week 13

Hi, everyone! It's Wednesday, so that means there's another fabulous sketch for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club! You can find the details for this week's challenge HERE. I combined this sweet Pure Innocence: Better Get Better image with My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary paper to make a get well card for a friend.

I colored with Copic markers, and I did some machine stitching. I embellished with some Honeydew Twine and an adhesive heart stone. I finished the inside of the card, too. :)

Sketches aren't just for cards, you know... I also created a coordinating tag! I thought it would be perfect on a little "get well" gift.

Stop by Kim's Blog to see the lineup of designers who have samples with this fun sketch! Play along with us for a chance to win a gift voucher to the MFT Boutique -- just upload your creation to SCS with keyword MFTWSC13.

That's all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

CHA Memories

Happy Monday, everyone! Yesterday I did something I NEVER do... I created a scrapbook page! I took some photos from CHA and made an 8.5" x 11" layout. I am so fortunate that I've been able to hang out with my MFT friends during the last two summer CHA shows -- and these photos capture only a tiny bit of all the smiles and laughs we shared.

I used the MFT colors -- pink, black, and white. I incorporated a few Die-namics, as well as some bling, brads and twine.

I used the Banner Day Alphabet with the Die-namics Banner Day Die.

I combined a sentiment from Girls Night Out with the Die-namics Say What? stamp and die. I also placed a trio of Die-namics Pretty Posies (was available in the April VIP package) in the corner of the page.

Although this is technically a scrapbook page, it just might be suitable for framing. ;)

That's all for today! Thanks so much for visiting!

Have a great day!

Wedding Card

Hello! TGIF! It's been a long week, and I'm SO glad Friday is here! I have a Stamper's Dream card to share with you today. It's a wedding card for a friend's daughter (and her new husband), so I wanted it to have a romantic feel. I combined a sentiment from the JustRite Wedding Nested Sentiments with this gorgeous BasicGrey Hello Luscious paper.

I cut and embossed the sentiment with one of the Labels Fourteen Nestabilities, and I sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I covered the Maya Road chipboard heart with paper and sanded the edges, then I finished the card with some Ivory Burlap String and a Webster's Pages Sparkler.

That's all for today -- I'm so glad you stopped by!

Have a fantastic Friday!

I combined My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose - Hazel, BasicGrey Origins, and Flair Designs Coffee Talk papers. I colored with a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I embellished with Cappuccino Twine (of course!), a cork Die-namics Daisy, and a button.

April VIP Blog Hop!

Hola! It's time for the April VIP Blog Hop FIESTA! If you haven't seen all the projects so far, hurry back to Kim's Blog and start from the beginning! The VIP Package is your chance to purchase the newest Who's That Girl? set weeks before its release, along with all the other products exclusive to the package!

Here's a peek at Who's That Girl - Fiesta!. I am really excited about this set -- there are so many possibilities for fun cards and projects! Here I created a thank you card.

I used the BasicGrey Hello Luscious paper and stitched brad included with the VIP package, as well as the new Die-namics Pretty Posies die. Love them. LOVE! I paper pieced the top of the dress and colored the rest with Copics. Then I applied some Diamond Stickles over the colored areas to give her dress lots of sparkle.

Since the front of the card has a lot of details, I kept the inside simple. The sentiments on the inside and the front are from the Fiesta Sentiments mini set, which is exclusive to the package and won't be available for purchase again.

Here's what you'll receive in your VIP package:

Who's that Girl - Fiesta! VIP Collection $44.75
Who's that Girl - Fiesta! stamp set

Pretty Posies Die-namics Die
Basic Grey Luscious 6 X 6 Patterned Paper Pad

As if that isn't enough...
We are excited to unveil our NEW product line - Pure Innocence in CLING RUBBER!
You have made it clear you adore our Pure Innocence line of clear stamps, and after the warm reception to our à la modes stamp line, available only in cling rubber, we decided to offer a new format of an "old" favorite.

Here are some details about our brand spankin' new Pure Innocence in CLING RUBBER:
  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and laser cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety, after purchase.
Without further ado, here are the first four stamp sets being released in our brand spankin' new Pure Innocence CLING RUBBER line:

à la modes - You Mean the World to Me

Happy Tuesday! Today the MFT Creative Team has previews of the second new à la modes set being released TONIGHT, You Mean the World to Me.

This Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper is just perfect for this set, don't you think? I colored the image with Copics and sponged around the panel with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I distressed the edges of the paper and cardstock to add to the earthy feel.

I used the Die-namics Layered Label Dies to finish the inside.

You can see the list of designers who have previews by visiting Kim's Blog now. Both à la modes sets will be released at 10:00 pm tonight, along with the April VIP Package! Be sure to stop back tonight for the VIP Hop -- you're gonna ♥ the new Who's That Girl! :)

It's the 15th, so there's a new Dirty Dozen Gallery at Splitcoaststampers! The time has been changed for the reveal -- from midnight to noon, so be sure to check it out after 12:00 pm today. I can't believe it's my LAST one -- it's been an amazing ride! :)

You Rule!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. As promised, I have a preview of the new à la modes! Today's set is You Rule. Since I'm a teacher, I literally squealed when I saw it! :)

The paper is from the October Afternoon Schoolhouse 8x8 pack, and the layout is Jen's March Sketch for You to Try. Coloring was done with Copics. I used the Die-namics Notebook Edge die, and I embellished with some tape measure twill, button, and Honeydew Twine.

I finished the inside with more of the school-themed paper and a sentiment from the set. I'm sure this will be going to one of my girls' teachers, so I left some room for a personal note! :)

Stop by Kim's Blog to see the lineup of designers who have previews of this sweet new set! It will be available tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 10:00 pm. I'll have a sample with the other à la modes set tomorrow! I hope to see you then!

Thanks for the visit -- have a great day!

A Sweet Tag

Happy Sunday! It's been a busy week here. The bathroom re-do is finally finished, so our kids don't have to share our shower anymore! I also am finishing up my cards for my LAST Dirty Dozen Gallery. Where did the time go??? So, I had the best of intentions to post this project Friday... then Saturday... and here it is today. I love making tags -- they're such a fun and easy way to dress up a gift bag, and they use up those smaller scraps of paper just lying around.

I combined Tiers of Treats by Stampendous with some October Afternoon Modern Homemaker paper. The sentiment is from the Birthday Cardmaking Kit by JustRite Stampers. I cut and embossed it with one of the Labels Fifteen Nestabilities. I punched some scallops and embellished with Natural Burlap String and a Big Red Button.

I'll have plenty to share here on the blog this week -- the new à la modes are coming, plus we'll have the VIP Blog Hop. And I have more Stampers Dream goodies to show you, too. I hope you'll be by to visit!  Thanks so much for stopping today!

Have a great day!

Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #10

Happy Wednesday! It's time for another MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch! So many of you have been playing along each week, and we love to see your creations! You can find this week's details on the MFT Forum HERE. Here's my card, featuring the Pure Innocence set, You're So Tweet.

The paper is from the Stella and Rose Hazel 6x6 pack by My Mind's Eye. I used three Die-namics: Hearts a Plenty, Musical Notes, and Flower Border. I colored with Copics and paper pieced her dress. I used a little bit of Cappuccino Twine, too -- I ♥ it! :)

I finished the inside simply, with a little bit of paper and another musical note.

Here's the sketch, so you can play along! Upload your card to SCS with keyword MFTWSC10 so we can see it! :) Stop by Kim's Blog to see which designers have a sample for you!

MFT DT Creative Challenge: Die-namics Home Decor

Good Tuesday morning to you! We've been working on the kids' bathroom re-do, so I haven't had as much creative time as I'd like lately (and thus the lack of posting), but I'm so excited to be back with this month's MFT DT Creative Challenge. Joanne has challenged us to use our Die-namics to create home decor! Oh my goodness -- the possibilities! :)

I created this frame to sit on top of our piano. I started with a frame from IKEA and filled it with paper, bling, pearls, felt and six different Die-namics: Textile Rectangle, Rolled Rose, Mini Rolled Roses, Dizzy Doily, Butterflies, and Musical Notes.

Here's a closeup. The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Music, this month's Triple Scoop set. I did some zig-zag stitching around the patterned paper, and I sponged around the sentiment with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Visit Kim's Blog to see the list of designers who have taken the Home Decor Challenge! We'd love to see your projects, too! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today -- have a great day!

A "Just Because" Card

Happy Saturday, everyone! I had planned to post this card yesterday, but the girls were off school, and one of them had a friend over all day, and, well... it just didn't get posted. :)

So here it is. It's a "just because" kinda card. Sometimes I'll leave the sentiment off, so I have a card ready for birthday, hello, thinking of you -- whatever I might need.  My girls always want to be sending a card to someone for something, so now I have one ready. The sweet image is Fancy Dress Marci from La-La Land Crafts. The paper is from the Stella & Rose Hazel pack from My Mind's Eye.

I colored with Copic markers, and I embellished with some Natural Burlap String and a Webster's Pages Scalloped Sparkler.

So, what are your weekend plans? We'll be painting the bathroom today. It's VERY wet and rainy here, so indoor activities are a good way to go. ;) Whatever you have on your calendar today, I hope your day is a great one!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT March Hop & Shop!

Hello there! It's time for the My Favorite Things Release Blog Hop! Hopefully you came here by way of Alli's Blog. If not, go back to Kim's Blog and start from the beginning! Believe me, you don't want to miss anything! :)

This release just might be one of my favorites yet! I think I say that every time, but that's why I love MFT! The stamps and Die-namics have been SO much fun to work with! My card tonight features the newest Flapper Doodles set, My Favorite Hello. I had fun making this card, and I really love the way it came together.

As soon as I saw this set, I knew I wanted to pair it with this My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup paper. Then, when I received the new Die-namics Say What? dies, I was in business!  I colored with Copics, and I popped up the speech bubbles on dimensional boosters. I tucked a Die-namics Dizzy Doily behind the images, and I finished with -- of course -- a twine-y bow. :)

I finished the inside, using another sentiment from the set and the new Die-namics Dizzy Border.

You can find all of the Brand Spankin' New products right HERE, right now! Next, I'll send you to see what the fabulous Lisa Henke has created! I'm sure it's something beautiful! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by -- have fun hopping, and happy shopping!!

Music is Love

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's the final day of MFTeasers before tonight's release! Today the Creative Team has previews of Who's That Musical Girl and Clearly Sentimental about Music (this month's Triple Scoop set). I used the Clearly Sentimental set to create this card. The paper is My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose Hazel paper and MFT Take Note Digi Paper.

I embellished with a cork heart, a NEW Die-namics Musical Note, and a Prima rhinestone and pearl flourish. You might have noticed that I have a "thing" with twine-y bows lately. So of course I had to have one here. :)

Tonight's the night! Join us for the Release Party from 8-10 pm EST HERE in the MFT Forum. The new sets and dies will be available at 10:00 pm, and that's when you can Hop & Shop with us!

Visit Kim's Blog NOW to see the lineup of designers who have musical previews for you today! I'll see you back here later tonight for the Hop -- thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!
