Hi there! It's Monday of Teaser Week, so that means it's time to preview the new Pure Innocence sets! Yay! My card features Hello Cupcake. Don't you just love that big ol' cupcake? :)

The papers are from the Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. I paper pieced, colored with Copics, and applied some Sweet Thing Glitzy Glitter to the cherry. I used the NEW Die-namics Flower Border on the bottom and the Die-namics Banner Strip and Mini Alphabet at the top.

I finished the inside with more paper and a sentiment from the set.

December MFTeasers, Day Two!

Happy Sunday, everyone! It's Day Two of MFTeasers, and I have two sets to share with you today! The first is Ice Skating Flopsey. I pulled the colors from the Thrift Shop paper -- I just love the black, red and Fossil together! I used Tea Dye Distress Ink on the gingham ribbon and the twine so they would coordinate better with the Fossil cardstock. The Die-namics Snowflake was covered with Glitzy Glitter, and I applied Stickles to the ice. I also colored the skate blades with a Star Dust pen. This card is really sparkly IRL - the photo doesn't do it justice! :)

My second card features the new Die-namics Flower Silhouette duo. There are so many ways you can use the die and stamps! Here I stamped the solid image in Soft Sky and the flower outline in Soft Suede.

I used the die to cut out a stamped flower image and a solid Soft Suede image. I placed the solid shape behind the cut-out flower and popped them up on dimensionals.  The curved card edge was created with the Die-namics Perfect Bracket Edge. I distressed and inked the edges of the card panels.

Here is the Release 411:

December MFTeasers, Day One!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are enjoying your weekend! I'm SO excited that today is Day One of December MFTeasers! The MFT DT (including our fabulous December Temp Team!) is previewing three sets: Clearly Sentimental about Teaching (last month's Triple Scoop set), Tweeny Teen - You Give Me Wings, and the Die-namics Textile Rectangle Frame Set.  My sample features the Die-namics Textile Rectangle Set!

You'll notice a lot of stitching on this card. That's because the MFT December Guest Designer Challenge is to Stitch It Up! You can find all the details HERE! I stitched the edges of the panels, I stitched around the Die-namics Sunshine, and I bunched and stitched the ribbon. The paper is from October Afternoon's Seaside and Fly a Kite pads.

Here's a closeup of the sunshine. I used My Favorite Felt and patterned paper, then I did some zig zag and straight stitching.

Here are some details about the upcoming release on December 1st at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on December 1st at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on December 1st at 10 PM EST.

Thanksgiving Hostess Gift

Hello there! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends! We have a busy day planned with family, but I wanted to take a minute to share my project for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. The theme is Thankful For, and you can find all the deets HERE. One of the things I'm thankful for is that I don't have to cook this year! We're headed to my brother's house this afternoon, and then to my in-laws' tonight. I made this little hostess gift with packaged handmade soaps.

These glycerin soaps were easy peasy to make! I made two batches: vanilla/orange peel and lavendar/orange peel. I just melted the glycerin, added the fragrance and herbs, then poured them into the molds. They were cooled and ready in about an hour!

Of course I had to use Pure Innocence: Lil' Pumpkin (currently out of stock) for this Thanksgiving package. I paper pieced with patterns from the Earth Love Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket, and I added some depth and shading with Copic markers.

The image is cut out and mounted on the Labels Four Nestabilities tag with dimensional boosters (available at Jody's site HERE). I backed the tag with the Die-namics Decorative Doily Die. I love the added layer of texture it gives!

That's all for now! Don't forget about the Black Friday special sale at My Favorite Things -- Kim has all the details on her blog HERE!

I have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day: a generous and supportive husband, four amazing children, a wonderful family, and good health. I have this "hobby" which has brought me so much joy and has given me some of my best friends. And I have all of you, my readers, who take the time out of your busy days to come and visit me. I can't thank you enough.  I am blessed. :)

Have a fantastic day! A Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Warm Wishes

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! I have a fun winter card to share with you today. I used the Cutie Bundles Cling Set by Stampendous, available at Stamper's Dream. Isn't she so so cute? She just makes me smile!

The paper is from the Mitten Weather 6x6 pad by Cosmo Cricket. I have really fallen in love with this purple and  red combination! I embossed the background paper with my Cuttlebug and Snowflakes embossing folder.  I cut the sentiment with one of the Labels One Nestabilities. The punched snowflake is topped with a button and silver metallic string.

I colored with Copics, and I applied some Polar White Flower Soft to her hat and coat trim. So fun! :)

Well, that's all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Recharging

Happy Monday, everyone! You probably noticed that I took a few days off from stamping and blogging. Last week was a busy one -- in stamping and in life -- so I just needed to recharge my batteries, you know? Plus, I had a husband and two kids home sick -- UGH! We had a gorgeous weekend here, so I spent quite a bit of time outside, raking leaves and enjoying the warm weather while it lasts.

So, today I'm finishing up some samples and getting my mojo in working order. Then I'll have something to share with you! :)

Thanks for your patience, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

This BasicGrey Junebug paper was a perfect match for this fun image. I colored with Copics and cut the corner of the quilt "out of the box." The sentiment was cut and embossed with one of the Labels Fifteen Nestabilities. I combined seam binding ribbon, fibres, and twine on the bow.

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews, Day 2

Happy Friday! I'm back with Day 2 of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps previews! Today's card features Skiing Miles. I had to chuckle when I saw this image -- it's exactly how I looked the one and only time I went skiing. Miles is having fun with skis and poles flying everywhere. Me... not so much. I'll just leave it at that. ;)

The paper is Very Merry by October Afternoon. I paper pieced his hat and scarf, and I colored with Copics. I applied some Fun Flock to the hat pom pom, and I sponged the edges of the image and sentiment with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The bottom edge was created with the Die-namics Faux Crochet Border. I finished the card with some adhesive rhinestones, machine stitching, and seam binding ribbon.

MFT's Greatest Hits: Pure Innocence

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! It's time once again for the My Favorite Things DT to ink up MFT's Greatest Hits! This month, to celebrate a YEAR of Pure Innocence, we're playing with some of our favorite Pure Innocence sets! I chose Happy Mail to share with you today! I paired the image with October Afternoon Very Merry paper.

I have been wanting to create a fun winter scene with this set, so I added some chilly details. Since it's cold outside, this PI borrowed a scarf from Boy & Dog - Snow Adorable. I paper pieced the scarf, and I pulled up the bottom section when I adhered it over her dress. It's a fun way to add a little dimension!

I used the Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass Die and some My Favorite Felt to make the icicles on the mailbox. I applied Icicle Stickles to the mailbox, icicles, and ground.

I stamped just the mailbox on the inside, and I added a sentiment from Boy & Dog - Snow Adorable. I used the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip on the inside and on the front.

Here's this month's Greatest Hits promotion:

From November 9 - November 11, all orders over $30 get free budget shipping using code BUDGETFREE. The code will reduce your order by the cost of budget shipping, which is $3.45. International customers may also use the code for a discount based on the US budget shipping cost, making international budget shipping only $2!

Please note that to qualify for budget shipping, your order must contain ONLY stamps and/or Die-namics dies. If your order contains any other products, you may use the code, but must choose the appropriate shipping method, which will leave you with a small shipping charge of $1.50 (for US customers).

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog today after 11 am to see which designers have Pure Innocence sets inked up today! I can't wait to see all the cuteness! :)

Thanks so much for your visits and comments -- I always love to hear from you!

Have a great day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge!

Hello! Happy Saturday! I'm so excited to be a Guest Designer for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this month! Kimmie and I worked together at All That Scraps, and I finally got to meet her at CHA this summer! She is sweet and talented, and she has such adorable stamps! My card today is for the Saturday Challenge at the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog. The theme is How Distressing!

I inked up this sweet Oliver stamp and colored with Copics. His hat is paper pieced, and I applied Fun Flock to the trim and pom pom. I distressed all the edges and did a little bit of machine stitching. The paper is Holly Jolly by My Mind's Eye, and the layout is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #98.

Stop by Kimmie's challenge blog and play along! I hope your weekend is great so far! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a great day!

Autumn Bookmark

*If you're looking for my MFT Hop post, scroll down!*

Happy Thursday, everyone! The temps here are getting much cooler, and a fall chill is definitely in the air. This weather just makes me want to get cozy with a cup of coffee and a good book! I made this autumn bookmark using new CLING stamps from JustRite Stampers! That's right -- JustRite has cling stamps now, and you can find them HERE at Stamper's Dream! The set I used here is called A Day in the Country.

I stamped the sentiment, then I cut and matted it with Long Rectangle Nestabilities. I sponged the image panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink while it was still in the die. I "tea dyed" the gingham ribbon with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I slid the ribbon through the jumbo eyelet, then I tied it with some Natural Burlap String.

When stamping the leaf image, I inked it in More Mustard and rock-n-rolled it in Really Rust.  I distressed the edges of the cardstock and did some random machine stitching.

Here is the bookmark in a book! Now I'm ready for some autumn reading! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! I'm so glad you stopped by!

Have a great day!
