MFTWSC111

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I have a card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. It's my first time playing along with the MFT Team as the Guest Designer! Woot! :)  I kept the design clean and simple, but I gave the card lots of texture with embossing, felt, and cork.

The heart and sentiment are from LJD Homespun Hearts. I used Wild Cherry Felt with Die-namics By the Letters and Small Scallop Border, and the Fancy Flourish was cut from cork. I embellished with a Sno Cone Button tied with Hemp Cord.

Wanna play along with the sketch? Here it is! All the details can be found on the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers. Upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword MFTWSC111 to have a chance to win up to a $20 voucher to the MFT Boutique!

And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see which designers got sketchy this week! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

be mine

Happy Tuesday! Today I have some Valentine's Day decor to share with you. You might remember the Thankful Banner I made for my mantel at Thanksgiving. I liked it so much, I made another banner to help dress up the mantel for Valentine's Day. It reads, "be mine".

I used several MFT Die-namics on this project:
* High Tea Party Doily
* Heart STAX
* Decorative Doily Duo
* By the Letters
* Hearts a Plenty

The holes in the doilys were perfect for tying them together with twine. I added some rhinestone flourishes behind a few of the letters. The heart between the words was cut from felt and topped with a rhinestone.

Patterned paper is from Bo Bunny Crush 6x6 pad. Cardstock is Sweet Tooth, Black Licorice, and Wild Cherry.

I really do love the way it turned out. It's definitely a happy addition to my Valentine mantel! :)

That's all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a great day,

Christina

love u

Happy Saturday! The snow is falling outstide, so it is a perfect day to stay inside and do a little stamping. I made this card for the MFT Guest Designer Contest. All the contest details can be found HERE on the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers. The card base is Kraft Cardstock, and papers are from the Lost and Found Two: Rosy 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye.

For the main image, I used the new Doodle Garden Sweet Friend. She is sweet, isn't she? I stamped the image on X-press It Blending Cardstock and colored with Copics. Her dress is paper pieced. I added a felt heart (from Die-namics Notched Tag) to her headband. It was just the perfect size! She is popped up on the circle with dimensional boosters.

Additional MFT supplies used: Die-namics By the Letters, Die-namics Simply Scallops Small, and a Kraft Button. I finished the card with some machine stitching, a rounded corner, and twine.

That's all for now! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Love Grows Here

Hello! Happy weekend to you all! Today I have a card for this week's MFT WSC Sketch. You can see the sketch and the WSC details HERE in the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers. I have had this card in my head for a while, and the sketch was just perfect for it! :)

It's a pretty simple sketch, so I kept things pretty clean and simple. The papers are from Lime Twist Life of the Party 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. Cardstock is Sour Apple, Wild Cherry, and Sweet Tooth. The woodgrain pattern paper was exactly what I needed for the Die-namics Branch with Leaves. I used Die-namics Notched Tag Die to cut the felt hearts, and the large heart was cut with Die-namics LJD Rustic Hearts.  I stamped the sentiment from LJD Homespun Hearts in Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I added some Die-namics Simply Scallops and finished with a button and Honeydew Twine.

Next on my to-do list is some Valentine decor for the mantel. I'll have pics as soon as it's finished! Thanks for taking the time to visit today. I hope you have a great day!

Clean and Simple Valentine

Hi there! Happy Monday to you! I have a CAS Valentine to share with you today. This was so quick and easy to make -- but of course I had just the right MFT stamps and Die-namics for the job! :)

I used negative space to highlight this heart from Die-namics LJD Rustic Hearts. I cut a small square of paper (from Lost and Found Two: Blush by My Mind's Eye) and popped the smaller white panel over it using white dimensional boosters. I rounded just one corner for a little interest. The stem and sentiment from LJD Homespun Hearts were stamped in Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I finished the card with some Wild Cherry Ribbon. I told you, quick and easy! :)

That's it for today! I'm enjoying the day off today, then it's back to school tomorrow!

Thank you so much for taking time to stop by. Have a fantastic day!

TCP Tuesday... on Saturday

Happy Saturday! I finally had a chance to make a card for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge. Leigh is the hostess, and you can find the sketch HERE. I had been hoping for some free time to use my growing collection of The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps -- they're just so much fun! :)

I love this Honey Bear. LOVE. I colored the image with Copics, then I cut it out and popped it up on dimensional boosters. I also stamped, colored and cut out the honey pot. I cut some felt with the Icing CutUps die, and I tied some Cherry Divine Twine through the button. The Valentine lollipop paper is from Imaginisce.

I hope you are having a good weekend so far! Chris and the girls are going to the Father-Daughter dance tonight, Kyle is going to the Valentine's dance, and Megan is working! That means a free night for me (and hopefully some stamping time)! YAY!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love Is in the Air

Happy Thursday, everyone! I'm still working on Valentines -- I still have some time, right? Love is definitely in the air with this Hedgehopper stamp from Penny Black. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. The paper is from the Sugar Rush 6x6 pad by Basic Grey. The orange panel was cut and embossed with one of the Labels Fifteen Nestabilities.

I used a sentiment from A Loving Heart Clear Stamp Set by Impression Obsession. I embellished with red checker ribbon, red burlap string, and some heart-shaped adhesive rhinestones.

That's all for now! I hope you're having a great day -- thanks so much for stopping by!

Heart Chair

Good Tuesday morning, everyone! Today's project could be a Valentine card or just a card for someone special in your life. I used the Heart Chair cling stamp by Impression Obsession, and I paired it with some Bo Bunny Crush paper. The sentiment is from the Birthday Cardmaking Kit by JustRite Stampers. I'm always happy when the sets have versatility -- this isn't a birthday card, but the sentiment works here!

I gave the image a bit of color with some colored pencils, and I sponged around the image and sentiment with Pretty in Pink ink. The image is matted with a Spellbinders Big Scalloped Oval. I placed a rhinestone swirl behind the image oval. To make the heart charm, I colored a Maya Road Chipboard Heart with a Copic marker, then I gave it a coat of Christmas Red Stickles. It's tied on to the card with Black Checkered Ribbon and Silver Metallic String

That's all for today! I'm headed out to volunteer at school this morning, then I have lots of things to catch up on at home. Then, hopefully, I'll sneak in some stamping time! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Hugs

Happy Saturday, everyone! I have a sweet and simple Valentine to share with you today. You might remember the project I did in THIS post, when I colored just a focal point and left the rest untouched. I've been wanting to do that again, so I thought it would be perfct on this white and red themed card! Here I used the Pure Innocence Love You with All My Heart set.

Not much to explain here -- a Cuttlebug Hearts background, plus ribbon, button and Divine Twine. That's it! I used Copics to color the heart, and I popped the image up with some of Jody's dimensional boosters.

If you are in a Valentine-y mood, you'll love this month's Dirty Dozen Gallery! If you're a SCS Fan Club Member, you can find it and all the other DD Galleries HERE. Run, don't walk -- and say hello to the two newest Dirty Girls while you're there! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! I'm so glad you stopped by!

Have a great day!

JustRite Week, Part 2

Happy Thursday, everyone! It's the last day of projects for JustRite Week with the Dream Team. I hope you've had a chance to check out all the projects so far. Here's the schedule, just in case you missed anything!

Monday - Michelle, Cindy, Amy, Mariana

Tuesday - Michelle, Cindy, Kim, Tosh, Teresa

Wednesday - Michelle, Teresa, Tosh, Lea, Christina, Amy

Thursday - Michelle, Christina, Amy, Lea, Kim, Tosh

My project today is another Valentine. Lately I'm having a serious love affair with felt hearts and bling, as well as an obsession with all things black and red! :)

The tag was created using two JustRite sets: Fancy Tags and Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit. I love that there are so many options for combinations and layering with these sets! The paper is from the Crush 6x6 pad by Bo Bunny. I placed a rhinestone flourish behind the tag, and I used the MFT Die-namics Hearts a Plenty die to cut the felt heart. I topped the black satin ribbon with Red Burlap String and an adhesive rhinestone.

Don't forget to check out the other girls' projects -- I'm sure they are gorgeous! :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit today -- I really do appreciate it!

Have a great day!

JustRite Week!

Hello! Happy Wednesday! This week, the Dream Team is hosting JustRite Week. We'll be sharing projects featuring some of the newest releases from JustRite Stampers!

Here is my card for today. It's a Valentine for my daughter's first-grade teacher. I used the You're So Sweet  2" set. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The individual layers were cut and embossed with Circle Nestabilities, and the center was popped up for dimension. The scalloped circle is backed with some primary pattern paper I cut with one of the Labels Fifteen Nestabilities. The paper, combined with the Cuttlebug Numbers embossing folder, just seemed perfect for a teacher, don't you think? The big ol' bow is topped with some black checkered ribbon and a felt heart.

Here's the schedule for the entire week -- you don't want to miss any of the fabulous projects! :)

Monday - Michelle, Cindy, Amy, Mariana

Design Team Creative Challenge: Valentines!

Hello, friends! Happy Tuesday to you! Sorry for my absence these last few days. We spent the weekend putting away our Christmas decorations, which took up much more time than I'd planned! Also, Kyle and Megan both went to the Silver Bells dance Saturday, so there were some emergency wardrobe issues to attend to! :) Anyway, I've been busy stamping and have some projects to share with you over the next few days!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy.  Our Design Team Creative Challenge will be a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme or product.  This month, we asked the team to get creative for Valentine's Day.  It's a great occasion to get crafty, and put your supplies to good use.  Are you ready to get some ideas for your Valentine's Day gifts?  Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of participants to see everything from cards to gift ideas and everything between.

Here's my project -- a Valentine card that doubles as a gift card holder!

I used papers from the State of the Heart collection by My Mind's Eye.  On the front I inked up the image and a sentiment from the adorable PI set, A Cart Full of Friends. I replaced the friends with a felt heart. :) I paper pieced her dress, arm and sleeve, and I colored the rest of the image with Copics. I also popped the wagon up on some of Jody's Dimensional Boosters, which you can find here.

Inside I used the image and sentiment from the PI set, Love You With All My Heart. When it comes to Valentines and sweetness, you just can't overdo the Pure Innocence, right?  ;)

The papers along the side are sewn on just three sides, so it becomes a pocket for a gift card.

I hope you're inspired to start on your own Valentine projects! Don't forget to visit Kim's Blog for more inspiration from the MFT DT! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!

January MFTeasers - Day 2

Happy 2011, everyone! I'm so happy to be ringing in the New Year with all of you! Today is Day 2 of MFTeasers, and it's all about love! The DT is previewing two sets: Flapper Doodles - I Love Us, and Clearly Sentimental about Love.

My card features the new Flapper Doodles set, I Love Us. This dapper flapper couple just makes me smile! :) I colored the image with Copics and applied some Sweet Thing Glitzy Glitter to the hearts.  I used the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty to cut the felt heart for the corner, and I used the NEW Die-namics Dainty Doily Border along the bottom. The paper is from the Crush 6x6 pad by Bo Bunny.

Visit Kim's Blog to see a complete list of designers who have previews for you today. Be sure to leave a comment on each designer's post, because Kim is giving away two sets each day during Teasers! She'll be posting the winners of the Teaser Time Prizes daily on her blog.

The MFTeasers continue through Tuesday! Then join us for the Release Party TUESDAY, January 4, from 8-10 pm EST, followed by the Release Hop at 10:00! You can find all the Release details at the MFT Member Company Forum at SCS.

January MFTeasers - Day 1

Can you believe it -- it's time again for MFTeasers! I *love* this time of the month! Today the DT is previewing More Essential Sentiments and Clearly Sentimental about Time (this month's Triple Scoop set). I'm really excited about More Essential Sentiments - the sentiments are great for so many occasions, and I love the larger font! They're also made to work perfectly with the NEW Die-namics Layered Label Dies!

I made a scrappy Valentine card using some Crush paper by Bo Bunny. I distressed the edges of the papers and added a felt heart to the front (cut with the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty die, of course!).

I finished the inside with another sentiment from the set and more distressed papers.

Stop by Kim's Blog to see which designers have previews for you today. Don't forget to leave comments on each designer's post, because Kim is giving away two sets each day during Teasers! The winners will be chosen from two secret blogs every day, and Kim will be posting the winners on her blog. Fun, eh?

We'll have MFTeasers each day from today through Tuesday. The Release Party will be TUESDAY, January 4 from 8-10 pm on the MFT Member Company Forum at SCS. MFT Releases will be moving from the first Wednesday of the month to the first Tuesday -- make a note on your calendar! :)

That's all for today -- I'll be back with another Teaser tomorrow! If you're celebrating tonight, be safe! Happy New Year to all of you!

Thanks so much for stopping by -- I'll see you in 2011!

Anna's Valentines

Hello! Happy Wednesday! My kids have their second snow day today, so we're getting a little stir crazy around here. It was the perfect oppportunity to work on Valentines for Friday's parties.

Anna wanted some Valentines that she could color herself, so I used the Cookie Crumbs Valentine Critters set to make these cards for her! Each one is 3" x 3". I just paired each critter with a sentiment, and I stamped "Happy Valentine's Day" inside. She's busy coloring them as I type this! :)

Today's ATS Wednesday Challenge is Valentine Packaging -- check out the Wednesday Challenge Blog HERE for some great ideas! :)

Well, I'm off to shovel the driveway (again!). Stay safe and warm everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Love You Muchly

Hi there! I'm finally back with something stampy! I'm posting later than I'd hoped -- I unexpectedly had a sick husband and son this morning! Anyway, here's a Valentine card I made with some of my favorite things from My Favorite Things! :)

I used the Small Calendar Sheets, Make the Date stamp set, and Pure Innocence Flower Girl. I paper pieced her clothes, cut her out, and popped her up on dimensionals. I added some glitter to her hearts and flower.

I love using the calendar templates for things other than calendars! They're a must-have! :)

Tomorrow we'll have the MFT VIP Blog Hop -- you'll love the new Who's That Girl!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Love Balloons

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I'm definitely in the mood for Valentine crafting, how about you? I made this Valentine card with stamps from American Art Stamp.

I stamped Balloons over New York City and the sentiment, then I paper pieced and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The paper is Be Loved by My Minds Eye (you'll be seeing more of it, I promise!). I embossed the background with my Cuttlebug and Heart Blocks folder.

I have new papers and stamps to play with, so I have plans to do some stamping today! I finally have all my sickies out the door (Kyle was home yesterday!), so it's time to catch up!

Valentine Critters

Happy Saturday! It's a busy preview week -- I'll have two posts today! My first is an All That Scraps preview of the Cookie Crumbs set Valentine Critters. Diane has created the cutest images, perfect for Valentine's Day! I used this adorable teddy bear to make a tag for some Valentine treats. I happened to have some leftover buckets from last year (love that Target $1 Spot!), and this little guy was just what I needed to make a tag! I colored the image with Copics, then I cut out a second head and used dimensionals to pop it up over the first.

Be sure to stop by the ATS Blog for more previews, and mark your calendar for the release on Monday, January 4!

I'll be back with a MFTeaser in just a little bit! See you then!

Valentine Teacher Treats

Happy Friday! Thanks for all the get-well wishes -- I think I've finally turned the corner with this cold! :) Today at All That Scraps, we're doing a review of the newly released sets by Cookie Crumbs Stamps, Cookie Jar and Cookie Jar-gon. I used them to create Valentine treat buckets for Caroline's teachers. I had purchased the little heart buckets at Target (*love* the $1 Spot), and I filled each of them with chocolates, chocolate-covered graham cookies from Starbucks, and a Starbucks gift card.

This little cookie image and the sentiments were perfect for the tag. The paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Stop by the ATS Blog today to see what the Design Team created with these fun sets! I'm sure there will be plenty of eye-candy!

I need to get the girls off to school with all their Valentines and treats! It's gonna be a fun, sugary day for them, that's for sure! :) Thank you for spending some time with me today -- I'm glad you stopped by!

Have a great day!

Luv U!

Hello! Happy Thursday to you! I'm moving in slow motion today -- I am not winning the battle against this cold! UGH! I had to get off the couch and DO something, so I made this card. The layout is from this week's MFT Sketch Challenge. I also did this week's MFT What's Up Wednesday Challenge to use acetate.

I embossed the acetate with my Cuttlebug and Heart Blocks folder, then I machine stitched it to the dp. I stamped Flopsey on shimmery white paper and colored with Copics. I paper pieced the heart with the dp.

FYI: For my acetate, I use Write-on Transparency Sheets from Staples. I got a box of 100 for $20-something.

That's all for today! Thanks so much for the visit! I'm so glad you stopped by! :)

Have a fantastic day!
