Bright Future

Well, after a very long week I'm finally posting something! :)

The next few days will be FILLED with previews -- both My Favorite Things and All That Scraps are releasing their March sets on Wednesday, March 3! It's going to be crazy! I'm going to have quite a few posts over the next several days, so I'll be making up for my lack of posting this week! LOL

After making all of my samples for the releases, I wanted to do something clean and simple. I used Bright by Emerson Quillin, available at American Art Stamp. There's not much to explain here, so just ask if you have any questions! AAS is having a big sale right now -- 30% off! Be sure to stop by and do a little shopping!

I'll have my first ATS preview tomorrow, followed by MFTeasers and more ATS previews! I hope you'll stop by to check them out!

Thanks for the visit today -- have a fantastic Friday!

Nobody Need Wait

Happy Monday, everyone! I have a quick post today -- it's another snow day here in northern Kentucky! We'll have about nine more inches by the end of the day! I'm sure I'll have four restless kids home with me all day, so we'll see if I get any stamping done! ;)

Here's a card featuring Nobody Need Wait, one of the Zenspirations images from American Art Stamp. This is a pretty simple card, but I really like the way it came together. I used October Afternoon paper, some punches, a few embellishments, and a little sponging around the image. I added some color to the image with Prismacolor Pencils.

That's all for today! I'm going to grab my mug of coffee and watch the snow fall! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Love Balloons

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I'm definitely in the mood for Valentine crafting, how about you? I made this Valentine card with stamps from American Art Stamp.

I stamped Balloons over New York City and the sentiment, then I paper pieced and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The paper is Be Loved by My Minds Eye (you'll be seeing more of it, I promise!). I embossed the background with my Cuttlebug and Heart Blocks folder.

I have new papers and stamps to play with, so I have plans to do some stamping today! I finally have all my sickies out the door (Kyle was home yesterday!), so it's time to catch up!

Thank you so much for the visit today -- have a great day! :)

Winter Tree

Hello! Happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a blessed Christmas! Our Christmas was fantastic! We spent the weekend playing games (Wii and Beatles Rock Band in particular!) and just enjoying being together.

I had a lot of stamping time yesterday! The weather was cold, and the snow was falling, so I closed myself in and got to work! Most of my time was spent making samples for next week's ATS and MFT releases -- I'll start previews Wednesday! :)

Here's something I can share with you now. The falling snow inspired me to make this wintery card. The image and sentiment are from the Nature cling set by American Art Stamp. I glittered the tree and sponged around the image and sentiment.

A closer view of the glittery tree...

That's all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Have a great day!

Fun with the Emerson Ladies!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today I have a couple cards to share which feature those sassy ladies by Emerson Quillin (available at American Art Stamp). These images just make me smile! The first is Time to Wine. I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copics. The paper is retired SU!, and the layout is Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch 116.

On my second card I used Work Late. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and again colored with Copics. The paper is Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket, and the ribbon is Pure Poppy stitched grosgrain from Papertrey Ink.

There are so many fun images at American Art Stamp -- and right now everything is 30% off! You can also stop by the AAS Blog any time to see what the rest of the DT has been up to! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Tuesday! It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Here's a Turkey Day card I made for my sister-in-law, who is hosting all of us for Thanksgiving dinner. The image and sentiment are from the Fall cling mounted set by American Art Stamp. I colored with Copics and sponged around the image with SU! So Saffron ink. I did some distressing and machine stitching, too.

I wanted to let you know that American Art Stamp is having a "Happy Happy 2009 Holiday" sale right now! Everything is 30% off -- just in time for holiday shopping! :)

Well, that's all for today! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit!

Have a great day!

Believe in the Magic

Happy Tuesday! I love this image from American Art Stamp. Both the image and sentiment are part of the Winter Wonderland cling mounted set. The paper is Eskimo Kisses by BasicGrey. I colored with Copics, and I sponged around the image and sentiment with SU! Pink Pirouette ink.

I love the big snowflake in the image, but I couldn't leave well enough alone -- I had to add a couple punched snowflakes as well! I sponged them before adhering them. All three snowflakes were covered in Icicle Stickles, and I applied a pink crystal to each center.

Although this image is most likely a family, I prefer to think of it as my kids -- a boy and three girls! The sizes are perfect, too -- two big, two little! :)

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card today -- I hope you like it! I'll be back with more tomorrow!

Have a great day!

Take Time

Hello, friends! Happy Monday to you! I'm trying to get myself back into some kind of a routine after subbing last week. Actually, as you read this I'm subbing again for the 2nd grade! It's been fun, but it's been a little difficult juggling everything! Our weekend was a busy one, but I did get a little bit of time to stamp last night -- yay!

This card was made with Take Time to Savor, part of the Zenspirations line from American Art Stamp (which is on sale 30% off right now, along with all the other AAS images!). I tried to channel the spirit of my friend and AAS design teammate Amy, who always does such great things with rounded corners and the Top Note die. :)

The paper is from the Earth Love Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket. I colored with Copics, sponged the edges of the image panel, and added some Stickles to the cattails.

That's it for today! I hope your week is off to a great start -- thank you for stopping by to visit!

Have a great day!

Monday Morning Stretch

Happy Monday, everyone! Today's card features Side Angle Pose from American Art Stamp. Oh, how I wish I could start my Monday morning like that! Instead, I'm sucking down coffee as fast as I can so I can just wake up! ;)

I colored the image with Copics and sponged the edges with SU! Soft Sky ink. The paper is from October Afternoon. The sentiment is from Inspirational Words, also from American Art Stamp.

It's a cool autumn morning here in Northern Kentucky -- we're starting in the 40's and working up to the 60's. I truly do love this time of year! Well, I'm off to get some laundry done and get the house back together after the weekend! I hope your day is off to a good start -- thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Funky Holiday Card

Happy Monday, everyone! Today's card is a little more clean and simple than I usually make. Although I love all the layers and texture in my cards, sometimes I need to change things up a little bit to keep things interesting! I hope you like it! :)

This is definitely a funky Christmas card, but I love how it turned out! The image is Bird on a Tree by Robin Pickens, and the sentiment is from the Fall cling mounted set. Both are from American Art Stamp. I DO love this Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper, and I thought the colors would work for a holiday card! I colored, of course, with Copics.

That's all for now! Thank you so much for visiting today!

Have a great day! :)

Autumn Greetings

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend! Ours was busy, but fun! Yesterday we stayed at home and caught up on some things around the house. I did some work in the garden, finished a few loads of laundry, and got some stamping done, too!

This card features the Fall cling mounted stamp set from American Art Stamp. I colored the image with Copics. I used some Autumn Flower Soft along the ground line, and I sponged around the image and sentiment with SU! More Mustard ink. The satin ribbon and crystals are from My Favorite Things. The paper is retired SU! Autumn Vine.

Autumn is definitely around the corner -- I can feel it! I'm really looking forward to sweater weather and falling leaves! :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit today -- I really do appreciate it!

Have a great day!

Party Pumpkins

Happy Friday! Here's a fun and simple card made with Party Pumpkins from American Art Stamp. The image was colored with Copics, cut out, and mounted on dimensionals.

The paper is Haunted by Cosmo Cricket. I embellished with a big bow and a pumpkin jingle bell -- quick and easy! :)

I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Dare to Get Dirty!

Happy Monday! Did any of you play in the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges over the weekend? Dare to Get Dirty is Splitcoaststampers' way of thanking their Fan Club members, with challenges hosted by the Dirty Dozen and DD Alumni. You can read all about it HERE. There were several challenges posted each day! I wish I could have done all of them, but I had to settle for choosing a few!

I made this card for Jen del Muro (genie1314)'s Tag Art challenge. I thought this adorable Ghost would be cute paired with the sentiment from Inspirational Words, both from American Art Stamp. The paper is Haunted by Cosmo Cricket. I did some distressing, machine stitching, ribbon pleating and sponging.

It's going to be a BUSY week for me! I'm leaving tomorrow for CHA in Orlando. I'm SO excited! I'm really looking forward to meeting and hanging out with all my My Favorite Things teammates and many more of my stamping heros! I have lots to do today to get ready, so I'd better get to it! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Christmas in July

Happy Saturday! I hope you have a good weekend planned. Chris is taking Kyle and Megan to my brother-in-law's farm today and overnight, so I'll be hanging with my two little girls at home! I think they already have some miniature golf on the agenda! :)

It's been hot and humid for a couple days, but that didn't stop me from playing the Ways to Use It Challenge -- Christmas in July. I had been itching to ink up these new stamps from American Art Stamp, and the challenge was perfect! :) I paired Paisley Bird with Ornaments with a sentiment from Greetings Words. I colored with Copics and sponged the edges of the image panel. I had a little fun with the ribbon and machine stitching, and I love the way it turned out!

Well, I'm going to see what my girls have planned for today! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful day! :)

Reach for the Stars!

Happy Saturday, everyone! Here's a card I made with stamps from American Art Stamp. The image is Angel with Stars by Adriana Cirstea, and the sentiment is from the set Inspirational Words by Kathleene Callei.

The paper is Urban Prairie by BasicGrey -- I just *love* the colors in this collection! I applied some of the paper to the Maya Road chipboard, then I sanded the edges. I colored the image with Copics, and I sponged around the panels with SU! So Saffron ink. To give the wings some shimmer, I painted them with some Moonlight Smooch by Clearsnap.

I purchased the star-shaped adhesive crystals when I was at Toyrifix last weekend, and they fit the stars on the image perfectly! I colored them with a Copic marker before applying them.

That's it for now! We are having some gorgeous weather today -- temps near 80 and not a cloud in the sky! I'm off to spend some time outside! :)

Thanks for visiting today -- have a wonderful day!

Getting There

Happy Tuesday! Here's a card featuring Getting There, one of the fun images by Emerson Quillin available at American Art Stamp.

I colored with Copics and sponged around the image panel. I applied Moonlight Smooch to the chipboard flourish, and it really gave it a mother-of-pearl appearance. I added some adhesive pearls and SU! ribbon to finish the card. I did some machine stitching on the vertical paper panel, but most of it was covered up by the design!

That's it for today! Thank you so much for visiting here -- I am always SO grateful to my readers! :)

Have a fantastic day!

Donut Diet

Hello! We're back from our spring break trip and settled into things again! We had a great time hiking, shopping and just being together, but I'm glad to be home! I was itching to stamp something, so I played with this fun Emerson Quillin Small Meals image from American Art Stamp. Now this is my kind of diet! ;)

I colored with Copics and added gold highlights to her earrings and hat with Gold Lame Smooch pearlized ink. I lightly distressed all the edges, and I sponged with Summer Sun ink. The chipboard flourish is covered with Blackbird Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink.

This was a fun card to make -- I hope you like it! Now I'm off to enjoy some gorgeous weather -- sunny and 75 degrees! :) Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

SCS Challenge Cards

Happy Thursday, everyone! I'm taking a break between MFT and ATS previews so I can share some other things I worked on this week!

This first card was for last Friday's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge to use black and white only. I had a lot of fun with this, although I so badly wanted to add a splash of color! :) The main image is Enjoy the Moment, from American Art Stamp. I stamped En Francais on the white flower from the SU! Pretties Kit, and I used a Stardust pen on her hat.

My second card is for this week's SCS Color Challenge. I decided to use more of my new SU! goodies to make an SU! only card. This tree image is just so beautiful -- I know I'll be using it a lot! Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card this week, so the challenge was a good reason to make one.

Thanks for taking a look at my challenge cards! I'll be back tomorrow with previews of the new All That Scraps releases -- coming Monday, April 6!

Before I go, I wanted to let you know that Christine is celebrating the second anniversary of C.C. Designs, and she's having a SALE through April 6! Click HERE to find out more! :)

Thanks for stopping by today -- have a fantastic day!

Challenge Cards

Happy Friday, everyone! I have two challenge cards to share with you today.

The first card is the one I made for this week's SCS Sketch Challenge. It was a fun sketch to work with, and I built the card around this BasicGrey Ambrosia paper. I have never been a big fan of orange, but this paper has made me a convert! I used the Verve Stamps set Fluttering By for the image and sentiment. I stamped the butterfly once on the image panel and again on a separate piece of dp. I heat embossed the second butterfly, cut it out, and mounted it over the first. I embellished with Dew Drops, black organdy ribbon, and piercing. The background paper was embossed with my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder.

My second card is for this week's SCS Color Challenge. This photo is really icky (that's my favorite technical term) -- I don't know what was wrong with my camera! I think this card is so much prettier IRL! Oh well...

The layout is Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try. Angel with Bunny and the sentiment are from American Art Stamp. I colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, pulling the colors from the BasicGrey Sultry paper. I added Star Dust Stickles to the angel's wings. The background was embossed with the Cuttlebug and Birds & Swirls embossing folder. I embellished with ribbon and Prima Caboodles. I am in love with these flowers -- I've been using them on everything!! They are hydrangea flowers with the leaves attached. They come in many color combinations, and they are fun to work with!

Thanks for taking a look at my challenge cards! Thanks, also, for visiting today! I DO appreciate it so much! :)

Have a fantastic Friday!

Just a Little Something

Hi there! Happy Tuesday to you! Here's a birthday card I made with Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try. The image and sentiment are from American Art Stamp. I stamped Gifty Girl in Momento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copics. I pierced around the image panel, and I sponged around the image and sentiment.

I just love these leggy images by Karen Stolper -- they make such fun cards! Speaking of fun, stop back after midnight for something new from MFT! Here's a hint: things are getting a little twisted! ;)

Thank you for visiting -- I'm so glad you stopped by today!

Have a fantastic day!
