Retirement Book

The vice-principal at my daughters' school is retiring this year, and each class is making something special for her. Anna's class put together a book, and her teacher asked me if I would make the cover. Of course, I pulled out my MFT stamps and got to work! :)

The kids came up with ideas for what retirement means (i.e. babysitting grandchildren, vacation, fishing, golfing), and they created illustrations for the pages. I used Alpha Dots to stamp the letters of the title, then I punched them out with a 1" circle punch. I used the Die-namics Jumbo Scallop die to cut the scallops from a sheet of My Favorite Felt - Necessary Neutrals.

This image from Pure Innocence: Book in Hand seemed like the perfect one for a retiring teacher. I colored it with Copics to coordinate with the paper (The Boyfriend Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket).

This is the closest thing to a scrapbook page I've done in a long time! Maybe I'll give it another try... ;)

Thank you so much for visiting today! I really do appreciate it!

Have a fantastic Friday!
