A Tisket, A Tasket... What's in Your Basket?

Happy Monday, everyone! While shopping at the CHA Supershow, several of us spent quite a bit of time (and money) at the Papertrey Ink booth. To be sure we all actually used some of our new loot, Leigh O'Brien issued a challenge: choose any basket from Vintage Picnic and fill it with whatever we want! Carole named it our "Mother Button Son-of-a-Basket Challenge." ;)

I saw Rascal Flatts in concert Saturday night (AWESOME!!), and their song "Summer Nights" inspired this card. My favorite line from the song goes, "Summer Nights, everybody are you with me, let that Igloo cooler mark your piece of paradise." So, here it is, my ode to summer: a basket filled with ice cold beverages! :) I used the bottle from MFT's Let's Hear it for the Boys, and I did quite a bit of masking to get all the bottles in the basket. I picked up this October Afternoon paper at the show, so I HAD to use it, too! I paper pieced the basket and colored with Copics. I did some machine stitching around the paper panel and some sponging around the image panel.

Okay, now check out how the other girls have stuffed their baskets!

That is sooo cool, Christina! Who woulda thunk to have a basket of bottles--perfect for a beer drinker like myself, too! So cool that you got to see RF IRL Ü

Now that's a lot of masking. The card reminds me of that song "99 bottles of beer on the wall..." only replace wall with basket. :) Sounds like you ladies had a total blast enabling each other to buy stuff.
