I made a promise to myself that I would take some time this summer to read some of the classic books and novels I've never read. So, right now I'm reading Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. I'm hooked. I just had to ink up this adorable image, because right now I have pirates on the brain. I really love this little pirate. LOVE. :)
The paper is from the Seaside 8x8 pad by October Afternoon. I used the NEW Die-namics Solid Bracket Border to cut three layers from the wood grain pattern paper. When I stacked them I thought they looked just like real wood shingles! The sentiment is stamped on the NEW Die-namics File Tab.
The cork was cut with the smaller of the two dies in the NEW Die-namics Dizzy Doily Duo. FYI, the circle die from the Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon fits perfectly inside this smaller Dizzy Doily. How cool is that? I used the circle to cut the map paper, then I inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I stamped the image again in Pumpkin Pie ink on the inside, then I added another sentiment from the set.
Other products used: Orange Fizz and Red Hot cardstock, Cream Perfect Paper Panels, and Caribbean Teal Twine.
