July Teasers, Day Four!

Hello there! Happy Independence Day to all my American friends! I hope you have something fun planned for today. We'll be going to the local parade this afternoon and grilling this evening. :)

Today's MFTeasers are all about summertime! We're previewing Inspired by Summer and the Die-namics Perfect Pinwheel die and stamp set. I chose to work with Perfect Pinwheel for my project. My first instinct was to make something red, white and blue for the holiday, but at the last minute I went in another direction. I decided to make a little back-to-school treat bag. I used school-themed papers to make my pinwheel, and I attached it to a bag of Smarties. :)


First I placed a straight pin through the center of a red felt Pretty Posy, then I placed it through each section of the wheel as I bent it in. Then I used the pin to attach the pinwheel to the eraser of the pencil. I bent the pin down and taped it securely to the pencil so no fingers would get pricked.


I topped the felt posy with a button and some Cappuccino Twine.


I tied the pencil to the bag with creme twill, then I tied the sentiment flag to the twill with more twine.
