Snowglobe Gift Tag

Sharon Johnson (notimetostamp) had a Stamp Simply Challenge this week to make something round. Her ornament cards and tags are simply gorgeous -- you have to check them out! I wanted to play, so I tried out some different punches to see what I could come up with. I used a Marvy Mega Circle Punch and SU! Round Tab Punch to create a snowglobe gift tag. The images are from Wintertime Fun by C.C. Designs, available at All That Scraps. I watercolored the penguin with an Aquapainter and inks. I thought he looked a little washed out, so I added some depth and color around the edges with Prismacolor Pencils. I cut him out and popped him up on dimensionals. I used a black gel pen to sketch some details on the base. It turned out just like I envisioned it -- don't you love it when that happens? I think I'll make some more and put them on gifts for my nieces and nephews.

I hope your holiday preparations are coming along well! I'm checking a few things off my list each day! Thanks for visiting today -- have a great day! :)
