To make the card base, I machine stitched a border around the paper, then I distressed the edge by hand. The image was stamped in Basic Black ink and colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. After I finished coloring, I traced over the image lines with a Sakura clear glaze pen to give them a little more definition. I sponged Bashful Blue ink around the vanilla circle and the card base. The scalloped circle was punched from more Romani paper, then I pierced the scallops. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and added a Prima flower and some May Arts ivory dotted ribbon. I love the way it turned out -- it's sweet, simple and feminine!
I have to admit, I'm glad to be doing something other than Christmas cards! I really like the spring-like look of this card -- it would be great for Valentine's Day or for any time you need a romantic card! I'll have more sneak peeks for you over the next few days, so please come back for more! Thanks for visiting today! :)
