I received my Stampin' Up! order yesterday, so I HAD to find a way to use my new stuff! I combined Yesterday's Sketch Challenge and today's Ways to Use It Challenge, and I used my new True Friend stamp set and Apple Cider paper. The card base is River Rock cardstock, and I stamped Linen in River Rock for the background. I used the designer paper and Chocolate Chip cardstock for the sketch panels. For the image panel, I first inked the medallion from True Friend in River Rock and Really Rust, misted the stamp with water, then stamped on Watercolor Paper. When it was dry, I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, then I heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I sponged the edges with Really Rust ink. I distressed all the panels with the Cutter Kit, then I used the Spiral Punch on the narrow panel. I finished the card by adding Vintage Brads and some gorgeous May Arts ribbon from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. I used the Horizontal Slot Punch to create the opening, then I tied the ribbon with Natural Hemp. The image panel is on Stampin' Dimensionals.
I can't wait to use some more of my new sets -- maybe tomorrow!! :) Thanks for visiting!
