July Teasers, Day Four!

Hello there! Happy Independence Day to all my American friends! I hope you have something fun planned for today. We'll be going to the local parade this afternoon and grilling this evening. :)

Today's MFTeasers are all about summertime! We're previewing Inspired by Summer and the Die-namics Perfect Pinwheel die and stamp set. I chose to work with Perfect Pinwheel for my project. My first instinct was to make something red, white and blue for the holiday, but at the last minute I went in another direction. I decided to make a little back-to-school treat bag. I used school-themed papers to make my pinwheel, and I attached it to a bag of Smarties. :)

First I placed a straight pin through the center of a red felt Pretty Posy, then I placed it through each section of the wheel as I bent it in. Then I used the pin to attach the pinwheel to the eraser of the pencil. I bent the pin down and taped it securely to the pencil so no fingers would get pricked.

I topped the felt posy with a button and some Cappuccino Twine.

I tied the pencil to the bag with creme twill, then I tied the sentiment flag to the twill with more twine.

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog NOW to see which designers have Teasers today! There's one more day of Teasers tomorrow, and then the Release is tomorrow night at 10 pm EDT! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fantastic 4th of July! :)

Happy 235th birthday, USA!

Christina
