A New Year's Color Challenge

Happy New Year, everyone!! Here's hoping 2008 is a fantastic year for all of you! Today was a lazy day at our house. The kids (and Chris) played Guitar Hero, we watched some movies, and I had some time to stamp! I checked out today's Color Challenge at SCS -- Taken With Teal, Certainly Celery, and Real Red. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to tackle it, but after looking over my stamps and papers, the wheels started turning and I came up with this card! The images are from Pretty Birds from the Kim Hughes Collection by Cornish Heritage Farms. I stamped the birds with Basic Black ink, and I used Basic Black and Real Red markers to ink up the sentiment. They were stamped on SU! Shimmery White cardstock, and the birds were watercolored with an aquapainter and inks. The heart is an eyelet from Close to My Heart. I actually love the way this card turned out -- I think I like this color combination after all! :)
