For My Favorite Peeps!

Hi there! I am still floating on Cloud Nine after my time as MFT Guest Designer -- I had SUCH a blast designing with my friends on the amazing MFT Team! I'm back today to share one final card as my month comes to an end. It's for today's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. You can find this week's sketch and all the fabulous WSC sketches on the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers.

I turned the sketch on its side so I could use this sweet Pure Innocence - One of My Favorite Peeps set.  This card goes out to Kim, Jody, Joanne and the rest of Team MFT -- truly some of my VERY favorite peeps in the whole world! :)

The papers are from the Fine and Dandy: Tickled Pink 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. I love how the bold patterns pop against the Whip Cream card base. I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. I paper pieced her dress and added a bit of shading with the Copics. I cut her out and popped her up on dimensional boosters, then I used pencils to add some grass. Finally, I embellished with Pretty Posies, a Sno Cone Button, and some twine.

Here's this week's sketch -- it's a great one!

Upload your card to the Gallery at SCS using keyword MFTWSC115, and you'll have a chance to win up to $20 in MFT bucks! And, don't forget to check out the MFT Blog to see which designers got Sketchy this week!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the sweet comments this month and always! I appreciate you so much! :)

Have a great day, everyone!

It's Time! The MFT Release is Here!

Hi there! It's time to check out all the new items available NOW at My Favorite Things! I've had SO much fun designing along with the MFT Team for this month's release! You can find all of the new products right HERE in the MFT Boutique. The Design Team has a New Product Tour for all of you, so be sure to check out the list of participating designers at the MFT Blog.

I used two new products on my card tonight: Die-namics Jumbo Kite and à la modes - Big Birthday Numbers. I combined them to make a sweet and spring-y birthday card for my nephew.

These patterned papers from the Fly a Kite 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye were just perfect to use with these fun dies and stamps. I stamped the number on the paper and trimmed it out.

I added some machine stitching and some adhesive rhinestones for added texture, and I popped up the kite and number using dimensional boosters

I stamped the number again on the inside and paired it with another sentiment from the set.

Here's another look at these new items, available NOW with all the other Brand Spankin' New products in the MFT Boutique:

And here are some links to the other products I used which are also available at MFT!

Thanks so much for all the love this week! Happy shopping, everyone! :)

Hi there! It's the final day of Teasers for tonight's MFT Release! Now that we've teased and tempted you all week long, it's almost time for you to shop for your favorite Brand Spankin' New products from MFT.
But first... it's time for our Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally!
The Design Team has been busy creating jaw-dropping and inspiring projects for you, and we've saved the best for last.

Today I'm going to share one of the ways you can use the new Die-namics Spring Wreath. It's so easy to build a wreath for any occasion -- I'm already thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas! But for now I'll stick to spring, because it can't come soon enough for me!

I chose Jellybean Green and Sour Apple cardstock for my wreath. I cut the wreath from Jellybean Green.

Then I added springs of Sour Apple to give the wreath layers and dimension.

I cut the bow from patterned paper (Picket Fence by Lily Bee Design). The top layer is popped up using dimensional boosters.

I couldn't stop there... I added some spring elements with images from the previously-released LJD Embellished Eggs, stamped in Razzle Berry and Grape Jelly Premium Dye Inks.

And here is the wreath on my finished card!

Teasers, Day 6 - Pure Innocence

Happy Sunday! It's Day 6 of Teasers for tomorrow night's release at My Favorite Things! Today the Design Team is previewing the new Pure Innocence sets, Under the Weather and Feeling Sassy. I HAD to use Feeling Sassy for my card today. This image reminds me so much of my daughter Caroline. And, this sentiment just makes me giggle. Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I use this word more than any other word in the English language. You can ask my husband, children, or any of my sixth grade students. ;)

The patterned papers are from the Miss Caroline: Dolled Up 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics. I paper pieced her hairbow, skirt, blouse, and right arm. I added a bit of haphazard stitching on the right side -- it just seemed to fit this sassy image. ;)

I stamped the image again on the inside using Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink. It's a bit lighter in the photos than it is in real life.
